Dirty hallways. Eratic office hours. Unkept landscape. Cheap updated appliances, don't fall for how shiny they are. Rent hikes. The club house is outdated and random people hang out there who aren't renters. I would never recommend these apartments!!
Steeplechase apartments has given me a pleasant experience during my time here. Although I am sad to be leaving, I'll always remember how helpful and friendly the staff and management were to me. I would definitely recommend this complex to friends and family in the future!
I have lived in this apartment complex for almost 4 years, and am moving out this summer. In October of 2017, a note was left on all of our doors letting us know the property was getting sold. I wasn't worried because I was convinced it couldn't get worse than the Connor Group. I was wrong. The company that took over, ROCO Real Estate, is a fairly young and inexperienced company by industry standards, and it shows. The property has been through 3 managers, 5 or so office staff and 3 maintenance men since the end of October. This makes it impossible to get anything done or to have any sort of consistency in the upkeep of the property. There are things I requested be done in DECEMBER that are still outstanding. They haven't kept the residents up to date on policy changes, changing things like UPS/USPS package acceptance, rent due dates and office hours without any warning. The office hours on the door don't even match the website. Each manager has asked for time to get used to things, and for us to be patient, while the maintenance requests pile up. It's been 5 months and things just aren't getting better. The complex used to feel really safe and the location is great, which is what has kept me there for so long. But it's going down hill and fast. ROCO Real Estate should not purchase properties they aren't ready to manage - it's not like they are in a retail business - they are in a business where people are paying them to manage their HOMES. When you don't remove snow, fail to keep the hallways clean, issue erroneous eviction notices, allow mail to pile up all over the floor of the building, have no control over the property in general - you are impacting people. They should do better or find something else to do with their time. Being from the area, and knowing what else is out there, I encourage any one reading this to live literally anywhere else.
I moved here last May 2017 and It was a nice property until was sold the new management are horrible because they don't well maintaining, property looks trashy .I called several times to complaint about heat at the gym it's not working, lights bulbs inside my building need to be replaced and carpets need to be clean and also trash is all over the street and i took pics and contact the property to fix it and they don't do anything about it. I can't wait to end up my lease here.
I have been here for 10 months and this place has gone downhill. The maintenance is horrible, if they show up ay all. Our building washer hater had been broke for a week. They told me I would know when it's fixed! They have no time frame of when that will be though. The cleaning of hallways and entryway had not been doing since the old company owned the complex. The landscaping company made one path in the parking lot and barely shoveled the sidewalks once. You couldn't walk out your for without slipping on ice each day. I informed them of bulbs that need replaced in the tanning bed and they are still not replaced. And for those off us that work for a living, we pay for the tanning bed bit cannot use it due to the clubhouse being closed before we even get off work! The pool had a leak at the end of last summer, and the way they are going I doubt it will be fixed! We are looking to move ad soon add our lease is up! I do not recommend renting at this location. Way too much money for ruin down property.
