Located in northwest Ohio, Bowling Green State University enhances the experience of student living with its proximity to Toledo, and its position in one of the state's most exciting cities. The school was founded in 1910, and has used the past century to expand into a university of more than 20,000 students, about two-thirds of whom live in a university apartment off campus. The school continues its history of rapid development with several projects that aim to polish the campus with the addition of several state-of-the-art buildings. In addition to student housing, the Bowling Green State University will add a 5,000-seat athletic area called the Stroh Center, the 93,000-square-foot Wolfe Center for the Arts and a solar- and wind-powered building called The Oaks.

Those in student housing at BGSU include students who occupy more than 200 undergraduate programs, as well as an assortment of master's and doctoral degrees that are offered throughout the eight academic colleges at the university. Academically, the school has been ranked as a Tier One institution by the U.S. News and World Report.

Off campus housing at Bowling Green State University is made more convenient by a fare-free bus transit system that runs throughout the campus and in popular spots of Bowling Green, Ohio.
