Leasing office ladies are never there and they don't know how to task to customers.Building is old as US history. Squirrel lives in ceiling and make lot of noice.leaking roof are common problem and should be use leave with it if you leave here. Lately I only see ambulance and police cars coming in.
Me and My roommate moved out of our apartment on may 17th with the help of two people. We'd like to think we were one of their best renters because we paid our rent on time every month and kept the apartment continuously clean. When we moved out we vacuumed all the floors, swept, scrub the bathroom and kitchen. There was no lasting damage just one blind that needed to be replaced, a few nail holes in one room, and maybe a dry erase mark on one wall where my calendar was at. We expected a few fees to come out of our deposit but not to be charged 617.32!! With our deposit of $300. There is now a standing balance of 317.32. That is absolutely ridiculous! They claim $399.32 for paint and fill nail holes, 125 for cleaning- claiming everything was dirty, a final heat bill of 57.32 and 35 for the blind. When I called to get an explanation and dispute, they simply read back the bill to me and told me to dispute in court. This is not the first time we've gotten this treatment. When my roommate's ceiling started leaking and we put in a maintenance order, they gave us a bucket and claimed that they would have to wait till it stopped raining after about a month, a month in a half where there were plenty of opportunities to fix the roof, the ceiling began growing mold and the damage was spreading. When we went to the office to speak to the leasing manager we were sent to person to person until we finally got someone. Their defence was that other residents had leaks for about 6 months that were still not fixed. 6 MONTHS. When we explained that the leak was unacceptable and needed to be fixed as soon as possible they told us to file with the court and put our money in escrow. So we did. Not a week of sending the letter the leak was magically fixed and a painter came in to fix the room damage. The patch didn't hold and the room continued to leak on and off until we moved out. We are not responsible for any leak damage to the roof or walls.
