The staff at 34 North is excellent! Every time we had a service request they promptly scheduled a time so I could be there with the pets. You cant beat the price or the location. Office staff is very helpful and greets you with a smile.
I went to their office TWICE to inform about my move out date (two months prior to the date). I spoke with one of the staff members and with their manager, Kimberly. Nobody asked me to sign a written notice before I moved out and, a month later, I am receiving a letter saying that I have not informed them about my move out 2 months prior and have to pay extra charges. The staff will not communicate their business policies to their tenants like many other apartments with better customer service do! So make sure to read every line of your lease, or else, they will hold you liable for every little thing. Not even mentioning constantly running toilets and barely working AC/Heater units that will skyrocket your utility bills.

I did not heed the bad reviews and still decided to move in, loving the natural look of the area and the peacefulness. The staff and unnecessary fees at 34 north COMPLETELY ruined that for me. This is my first time renting an apartment and since the beginning this place has been a massive disappointment. I even called the corporate number for Drucker and Falk to express my grievences when i first moved in (apartment was filthy, outlets not working, porch covered in mildew, extremely rude office manager etc) and I never got a call back from them . The next thing i noticed was a $30 monthly fee that was added 3 months after i moved in? It is labeled as "water, sewer, etc" but it only just appeared 3 months in and isn't in the lease agreement. The biggest problem are the unannounced "walk throughs" that the office staff do as well as maintenance people. I was once in the SHOWER when a grown man just starts walking through my apartment.
I am a foster mom to a cat and when they did the unanounced walk through they saw her and fined me $270 even when I cited paperwork for the cat. The office staff has been hard to get along with and rude from the start when it comes to animals, when i first moved in and registered my dog who was labeled a "shepard mix" on his papers, they told us we had to either get new papers for the dog that same day or not have the dog at all EVEN THOUGH the male worker who toured us talked nonstop about his full bread German Shepard. Along with all the ridiculous fees as well as a new $20 cat fee we have to pay every month for a FOSTER CAT our rent went from an original $736 plus the mandatory $25 trash fee then the $40 in unnecessary pet fees then the $10 in mandatory rent insurance (that we only learned before the hurricane that it DOENST cover any of your own property only theirs) and the $30 in "water and sewer" our rent has sky rocketed to $836 for a ONE BEDROOM!! The artsy look may be appealing but the way the company runs the business is NOT
Absolutely terrible guest service. They dont care about their residents at all and will nickel and dime you until you wind up broke and homeless. They are not pet friendly (even though they claim to be). The community is dirty and they way overcharge for low quality apartments.
Just dont live there. There are so many other communities in Wilmington with way better amenities, lower prices, and friendlier office personnel.
