Lease terms from 6 to 15 months
The maintenance crew is very friendly and extremely knowledgable and highly skilled. The administrative staff is always courteous and helpful. They also do an amazing job of organizing community activities, which creates a fun and friendly environment for tenants to meet and interact.
Excellent leasing office staff and maintenance team. Secure community, close to Post, and clean community and you feel good coming home to this complex.
I've been here since Feb now and the apts are nice, it's pretty quiet out here minus the military ranges can get loud at times. I've heard there was car break-ins a few months back, but nothing new I believe. I dont hear my neighbors for the most part, maybe some water running from next door or above me, but that's it.
What I do have a problem with here is the grounds of the complex.1st there is more trash being thrown on the grounds recently, its gross, I dont care to see condom rappers, or peoples take out on the ground. I have picked up more rusty metal pieces and nails from the grass, mulch and the road. Now if my dog stepped on any of this and cut his foot, the apt office would be getting my vet bill. Can only imagine if a kid ran outside barefoot and stepped on a rusted nail.
Another issue is the washer and dryer are not maintained so clean them before you use them. Also make sure before you sign your lease you see the apt your going to move into. When I was signing my lease it stated the carpet was changed out in 2011, I said excuse me?! Was told it was probably a typo. Well when I moved in the carpets looked okay, but there is worn out spots and its fraying in places, but no crazy smells. when I vacuumed.... WOW! So much yuck came out, so I put baking soda all over my carpets to help with any odors and vacuumed a lot.
The dog park is a good size, but it's not maintained like it should be. There is a way for your dogs to get into the runoff of the lake water and it can get muddy and real smelly if they get in it. The apt complex won't fence it off, my dog got a skin infection.
Overall the experience has been good. The one thing that is lacking is the promptness in cleaning up a mess that someone makes in a breezeway or other areas. This is minor but annoying.
I love it here I looked at many apartments when I was searching for a home. Village on the Lake has EVERYTHING I wanted. Only thing I would love to change is the lamp post outside that shines in my bedroom window.
