the crew at VLB is the best that I've dealt with in a long time. they treat me with respect. they are very understanding and value not just me but my life and trying to get back on my feet. I've relocated from Maryland and I could not have found a more nourishing community to start over.

Poor management. Stagnant pool, uneven foundation, windows from 1973. But the rent is raised annually, regardless of zero improvements being made. If you are not a doctor, this may not be the place for you.

They didn't tell us the apartment was in the basement and I took in mold for 13 months which made me sick. Maintenance was a joke; they're bad at their job, unreliable, and grumpy. They gossiped about me outside my apartment and one afternoon, they might have been drunk. You couldn't have the windows open because there weren't screens and maintenance griped every time I asked for reasonable things. And for the 13 months, our apartment was infested with camo crickets. There were so many holes in the apartment (was far from good living conditions) and those things got in the apartment constantly. Also one evening, there were slugs in the apartment. There were also concerns with the neighbors that management didn't really try with. I had to hear my upstairs neighbors abuse their dog day in and day out. They had 2 dogs and a cat, and might have gotten a third dog, too. That's against the rules. Awful!
