      I wish that I could give this apartment complex a 0-star review. This is one of the worst property management groups I have had the misfortune of doing business with. When I first moved into my apartment, many fixtures were broken and the dryer and garbage disposal did not work. I lived here for two years, and the garbage disposal was still not working by the time I moved out! During my time as a resident, there were several occasions where my A/C unit went out in the summer, and my heat was not working in the winter. On one such occasion, I had to go 5 days without heat in the winter. The apartments and appliances are very dated, and not worth the money you pay in the area. Please save yourself some grief and do business with one of the other apartment complexes in the area for a comparable rate and a much nicer apartment, with better staff running the place. When I notified them that I would not be renewing my lease, they decided to charge me a premium in addition to my regular rate that forced me to pay a whole months rent for a total of 3 days my final month. They tried to justify this premium by informing me that I did not give them a 60-day notice; however, they gave me lease renewal options less than a week prior to when the 60-day notice would have been due, and I gave them my notice prior to the expiration of the lease renewal options. In other words, this apartment complex will give you less than a week to review lease renewal options, attempt to negotiate those options, and decide if you want to accept those options. And if you decide that you dont want to renew with them, they will charge you a premium even if you notify them that you will not be renewing your lease with them prior to the renewal options expire. I cannot stress this enough, please do not do business with this apartment complex and go to one of the other ones in the area. You will be glad you did!

      URGENT WARNING - NEW RESIDENTS BEWARE: This company charges you a $75 application fee PER PERSON. Background checks cost less than $25 per person so they are basically getting FREE money from you. Also, they charge you a $175 Administration Fee BEFORE your application is even accepted so be prepared to spend at least $325 after filling out application. If it gets denied, you will NOT get your $150 back for the applications if two people are on the application/lease. I will keep you posted if they refund my Administration Fee since my application was denied. As of 5/25/23, no refund to my Admin Fee yet. Will update this post everyday until I am refunded so that it stays on top of the review list for potential renters to see before they are taken for a ride with this rip off company. Will start posting this information to other social media sites as well until I am refunded.

      I just moved in and everything went very smooth and easy. My apartment is spacious and the location is so convenient to my work in RTP. I like being here because closer to work is too industrial, I like the peace and green spaces here.

      They do not care about their residents. I used to love living here but the leasing management team associated with Avenue5 at Indigo does nothing to address pressing issues that tenants bring to their attention nor communicates effectively with their residents. No one picks up the phone or answers emails. It is exhausting having to constantly follow up with them about things that are urgent. If they are short-staffed or just simply going through management troubles, I would prefer their honesty and transparency than just ignoring emails and calls. At least that would give us residents some understanding of what they're dealing with in their office. Regardless, I dont recommend living here. They fall short in ways that are unacceptable. They do not take their tenants concerns and safety seriously. They give us radio silence when we do try to contact them about issues for weeks, but yet they have the time to respond to reviews in a timely manner with consistency more than they respond their own tenants. Dont live here, its not worth the money and you can find somewhere better to live.

      Im am so devastated! I have lived here 1 year and I went up to the office to renew my lease in November. I was told that my new rent for 12 months would be 1192. Its a little more but I get it. Then the next thing I know I am being charged an additional 350 for month to month, so I call and speak to Mr. Chandler and he said that he would fix it.. He said that instead of the 1192 a month that I would be ask to pay 1156 a month if I agree to a 13 months lease.. I say yes and sign the lease agree online. The next thing I know my rent is now 1323.11 for the month of March. Guys I cannot afford this.. I ran away from a horrible relationship and I have been scratching my way back to a comfortable way of life financially! This is horrible. Im back to feeling like I cannot buy groceries again, I cannot take a day off and I have tried to pick up extra work on the weekends. How can people be so greedy. I cannot wait to get away from this place. I cant afford 85 dollars a month for Spectrum, I was doing fine at 34 a month and they robbed me of being able to easily pay that bill.. Im broken at this point! I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone.. Draining Fee: 4.72 Amenity Access: 10.00 Monthly Pest Control: 5.00 Cable Income: 85.00 Trash Billback: 18.00 whatever that is! Valet Waste 17.00 I dont mind taking out my trash Admin Fee 3.75 Another Admin Fee 1.34 Water 9.63 Sewer 14.67 Rent 1156.00 This is the Very First Time that I have experienced this kind of Back-Handed, Side-Door, Lack of Integrity, and Dishonesty.

      I am a resident for 3 years and 2023 is my 4th year. this is a pretty decent complex in this area and i was very happy until this blood sucking managment named AVENUE5 took over the complex last year. first they raised my rent for $200 and then jacked it up with $170 fees. so total $370 raise. they forced all residents to use valet trash and pay the monthly trash fee. the worst part is they cancelled all residents current internet connections and force them to use Spectrum package for $85 a month. many people are members of google fiber and they cant use it anymore because managment says its our $85 a month package or no internet at all. I have been to many apt complexes and never ever see something like this. Its like living in a communist 3rd world country I was paying $35 a month for a 300mp internet and they cancelled it so I now have to pay $85 a month for the tv channels that I dont watch because i dont have a tv. I can sincerely say Avenue5 took this complex to rob the current residents!!! runaway from this complex as u run away from Plague until this managment company changes.I am counting months for my lease to end and will move out.
