Murphy's Farm

Before I review these apartments, which I have lived at for about a year, the staff is excellent! With that being said, these apartments are not worth what you pay, which is almost $2,000 a month. Their website says that they are "...stylish, luxury apartments..." but they are far from that. The only higher-end part of the apartment is the granite countertops and tile backsplash. I have worked in residential and commercial construction, and these apartments are of poor quality. Here is a list of several things to consider. These apartments are not soundproof. You will not hear your neighbors on the sides of your apartment, but you will hear people above you. I have lived here for a year and have had to call the office and the officer on duty on my neighbors above us due to loud walking, jumping, and music in the middle of the night. There is a small refrigerator with no ice machine. This is one of the smallest refrigerators I have seen in an apartment, which is hard if you like cooking. The air/heating unit is extremely loud. When the air comes on, it sounds like a spaceship about to land...seriously; it is loud. I had their maintenance person look at it, and he told me that all of them were this loud. I have to turn off the air when I watch a movie to hear my TV. There is poor construction work throughout the apartment. This apartment was constructed poorly, from cheap cabinets, cheap flooring, poor caulking, and poor painting to sheetrock screws coming out of the wall. Compared to a lot of apartments, these are pretty decent. What is frustrating is that these are advertised as "luxury" apartments, which are far from that. Also, it is hard to pay about $2,000 per month for an apartment when I have a hard time sleeping because I hear my neighbor walking in the middle of the night. I recommend saving some money and finding a different apartment.

Community seems fine. However, I noticed a leak from the second floor and went to let someone who worked in the office know. This person was extremely rude from the beginning of the conversation. They demanded to know who I was instead of even acknowledging what I had just said. Won't bother being helpful anymore if that is how I'll be treated. They shouldn't be in a customer facing environment if they can't handle basic human decency.

Absolutely beautiful. They thought of everything. Looking forward to being part of this community.
