      I have lived here for 2 years. I felt upon renewing my lease it was time to update my review of 2020. Harrington is such a beautiful place and I still feel so pampered. The apts with 9 foot ceilings, huge closets, a kitchen complete with stainless steel and granite everywhere! Outside, there's a lovely pool, dog park and the beautiful club house where Harrington had a huge holiday party for all the resisdents recently. Too many amenities to list honestly! Wonderfully enough, the best part of Harrington lies in the amazing staff. Ms. Karissa the Manager, Rachael and Ashley treat me with such kindness and care and it's greatly appreciated. Each time I've seen Ms. Denise she's taken time to ask how I am and help with anything needed. It's the genuine kindness I appreciate the most! These are just hardworking people! The maintance crew will handle my requests same day (usually) and a couple of times- they fixed issues within an hour. Yes, truthfully! LOL. I'm a retired military Combat Nurse, so I've rented places all over the world and truthfully the care and professionalism here at Harrington is best I've had. That's why I just renewed my lease! This place is filled with lovely neighbors that help each other and staff that makes you feel like family. What more could you want? Blessings to you! Lt Ward- McBride

      Youre literally only paying for the appearance of a nice apartment. I moved into a brand new building a little over a year ago, and the number of issues weve had with things falling apart, breaking, and needing replaced (some things multiple times) is ridiculous. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone to get things fixed. Service requests and phone calls are often left unanswered. The only way to guarantee to talk to someone is to go to the office to talk to them in person. The roof of my building was damaged during one of the hurricanes months ago and has been leaking since. They cut holes in the ceiling to try to repair it I assume. Unsuccessfully. Now there are holes in my hallway with plastic that gather water when it rains. The heat and ac have been out since thanksgiving (6 days now as Im writing this), and I have had no success getting ahold of anyone to get it fixed or find out if theyre working on it. I work during office hours so I can only call, email, and submit service requests. My apartment was 60 when I woke up this morning.

      Unfortunately, Harrington Village does not live up to their promise of "comfortable, affordable" living. After living here for one year, the price I've paid does not equate to comfortability at all. The noise between units is far from what should be expected in any apartment complex, especially a new and updated one. The police are on property at least once or twice a week for drug or domestic-related issues. The dog park and surrounding walking areas are saturated with dog waste, although there are plenty of stations to dispose of this around the property. Management requires you pay a fee for pet DNA sampling upon lease agreement so that pet waste can be sampled if found; however, I have yet to see this process put into place. Management has not been actionable to problems on-site, which is why issues such as rowdy neighbors, noisy children, drugs and domestic disputes continue to happen and rise. I've lived in an equatable apartment inside of Wilmington for the same amount of rent that I am paying here in Leland - I have had much better experiences (with the unit, management, neighbors, etc.). The turnover in the office has been high throughout my yearlong stay. Hopefully they can find the right people to fill those positions and get this place where it needs to be and make their residents feel happy and safe!

      I signed the lease! My apartment will be ready April 15th and I can hardly wait. The office staff was very helpful and professional while being friendly and accommodating. The community is so beautiful, clean and well maintained.

      I have been anticipating the day I can finally write about my outstanding experience with Harrington Village. With this being a brand-new complex, the chance of building delays was inevitable. How Harrington handled these delays, however, is what sets Harrington far apart from its peers. From the time they found out about any setbacks, Tonya at Harrington in particular, let me know that she had my back with whatever was to come, and she would do anything in her power to make sure I was taken care of. She indeed, went above and beyond, making the adjustments needed with being such a new establishment and made my experience as hassle-free as possible. When it was all said and done, I was in awe at the lengths Tonya went to make sure I was taken care of and happy after moving into my gorgeous dream studio apartment. Anyone that has had experience with looking for or residing in complexes in some of the surrounding areas know how challenging it can be to find a place where your needs are met and you're taken seriously as a resident. Here at Harrington, it truly feels like home. From the luxurious amenities, personable and welcoming women at the clubhouse, Tonya and Sherry, to the maintenance man, Bruce who is an incredible asset to this establishment, this place has a foundation of individuals who truly care about the community they represent and its inhabitants. Bruce particularly deserves personal recognition for I have never seen someone so passionate about their career. Half the time he is still working away helping anyone in need, off the clock. For example, my car broke down recently and without question, there Bruce was, eager to help me any way possible to makes my day a little easier. Needless, to say, Harrington takes great pride in the community theyve created in the heart of Leland and I could not be prouder to be a resident here in Leland, embracing the many luxuries Harrington Village offers.
