Laurens Way is described by Drucker and Falk as luxury apartments. If your idea of luxury is old, rusty, tiny and the cheapest kitchen appliances, this is the place for youif not, RUN. The apartment is spray painted over stains, nicks, plastered holes, dust, and bugs. I am the third person that I know of in the last 6 months in my building to have the old rusted hot water heater burst and flood the apartment. My refrigerator was making noises and losing temperature, causing bad freezer food. After 7 months of complaining, they replaced it with a worse unit. They said that they will let me out of my lease, and refuse to put it in writing. Neighbors are very nice and going through the same experiences. Some report roaches breeding in dishwashers. No wondermandatory extermination does not show up. I keep my own apartment exterminated so that I do not have the problems of which others are complaining.

I moved in 8/2018 the first date of move in there was a leak from the above apartment and they fixed it but didn't fix my apartment for over 3 months. Before move in date we requested the apartment got sprayed for bugs, and the small issues like cabinet doors, shower heads and knobs be fixed but NOTHING was done. Bugs have constantly been an issue especially with roaches. Maintenance is bull and cheap. They come out and enter your apartment without letting you know, they leave messes and expect you to be okay with the half done jobs they do. They leave your lights on use your toilets and toilet paper. The office staff never answers the phone and NEVER returns your calls. You put in requests and it doesn't get done for weeks later. They up your rent after each year while bringing new Tennant's in at a lower price. If you want to switch from a year lease to month to month expect that price to jump at least an additional 130$. They use scare tactics to make sure that you feel as if you have no choice but to stay in their dirty Apartment complex. Never made a late payment on rent and they have charged me a late fee for no reason!! Keep coming up with random charges. They have a community that is trashy and junky. Over the weekends no one puts their trash in the dump but piles it up outside everywhere the pool gets trashed often and looks to never get cleaned. Don't even go into the pool bathrooms. Talk about disgusting!!! These people will scare you and make you feel as if you have to sign a lease before your current lease is even up without being charged even more money. They are shady and very unprofessional. So good luck to anyone that decides they want to lease from this place. I have pictures, videos, and screenshots of everything from beginning to end. So don't hesitate to ask me to send proof.

I was really interested in moving into this complex but after reading several comments from tenants, and I do understand accountability and signing contracts, but it also tells me it's not about the tenants, it's about the bottom line. $$ I'm retired and I just want to relax and have peace and quiet.

Not a family oriented place to live. Ran into an unforeseen emergency and this place could care less. I've lived in much NICER apartments and for a better price than this place, but they never treated me like this. So the rent looks cheap, but the apartments are REALLY small and the walls and floors are thin. You can hear everything. These apartments are old, so there are no ceiling fans or ceiling light fixtures in the bedrooms or living room. Definitely ready for my lease to be up. Just remember, eventhough the rent looks cheap, you should think about quality and comfort.

Hello All! MUST READ BEFORE RENTING! I have been renting with Lauren's Way Apartments for 2 years, and everything was going fine until a couple weeks ago. I had an issue with a deposit. As soon as I recognized it I contacted the apartment complex and explained the situation. I told them that my direct deposite will be in just 2 days past the written date on their letter. I offered to give them a print out from my employer to show the pending deposite, and also explained that I have NEVER PAID LATE in the 2 years I've lived here.The office manager said that it doesn't matter how long I've lived here, or if I'm a good resident. She was going to file court papers against me on that date no matter what I say. Then proceeded to tell me that in addition to the late fee, I will also be charged $250 because I have to pay their attorney to file court papers. What?! She made me feel like complete garbage, and offered no consolation about the news. I told her this was a terrible way to do business, and was in complete shock that they would do this to me. I fought as hard as I could to get through to her, and she hung up on me. I reached out to the corporate office, and explained the situation to her manager...At that moment I saw where the river of poor business skills was coming from. He was demeaning in his tone, and told me that the manager at Lauren's Way is not allowed to make decisions, and she would have been written up if she didn't file court papers on me...regardless if she felt that I was going to pay. WHO TREATS A LONG TERM, GOOD RESIDENT LIKE THIS? I don't know why, but I went ahead and paid them what they wanted, and they cashed on it immediately. I am disgusted with their service and want to cut my losses and get out of here. My lease is up in 30 days and who knows what kind of games they are going to play with me for posting this review. They do not value their residents, and treat us like cattle.
