I really enjoy being a resident of Lauren's Way!! I have stayed in a lot of different type of rentals being on active duty in the Army, but would'nt trade this place for any of the others!!!
Not a family oriented place to live. Ran into an unforeseen emergency and this place could care less. I've lived in much NICER apartments and for a better price than this place, but they never treated me like this. So the rent looks cheap, but the apartments are REALLY small and the walls and floors are thin. You can hear everything. These apartments are old, so there are no ceiling fans or ceiling light fixtures in the bedrooms or living room. Definitely ready for my lease to be up. Just remember, eventhough the rent looks cheap, you should think about quality and comfort.
Hello All! MUST READ BEFORE RENTING!
I have been renting with Lauren's Way Apartments for 2 years, and everything was going fine until a couple weeks ago. I had an issue with a deposit. As soon as I recognized it I contacted the apartment complex and explained the situation. I told them that my direct deposite will be in just 2 days past the written date on their letter. I offered to give them a print out from my employer to show the pending deposite, and also explained that I have NEVER PAID LATE in the 2 years I've lived here.The office manager said that it doesn't matter how long I've lived here, or if I'm a good resident. She was going to file court papers against me on that date no matter what I say. Then proceeded to tell me that in addition to the late fee, I will also be charged $250 because I have to pay their attorney to file court papers. What?! She made me feel like complete garbage, and offered no consolation about the news. I told her this was a terrible way to do business, and was in complete shock that they would do this to me. I fought as hard as I could to get through to her, and she hung up on me. I reached out to the corporate office, and explained the situation to her manager...At that moment I saw where the river of poor business skills was coming from. He was demeaning in his tone, and told me that the manager at Lauren's Way is not allowed to make decisions, and she would have been written up if she didn't file court papers on me...regardless if she felt that I was going to pay. WHO TREATS A LONG TERM, GOOD RESIDENT LIKE THIS? I don't know why, but I went ahead and paid them what they wanted, and they cashed on it immediately. I am disgusted with their service and want to cut my losses and get out of here. My lease is up in 30 days and who knows what kind of games they are going to play with me for posting this review. They do not value their residents, and treat us like cattle.
Apartments need updating as kitchen is still back in the 90's. Have walk in closet with no light in it...what contractor puts no light in a walk in closet? Need more shelving in closets as well. Appliances are outdated. Dishwasher cleans half the time. Tired of seeing trash and dog poo around the premises. Can't people just clean up after themselves? More lighting does need to be added on back side of buildings. Parking spaces need to be numbered as I'm tired of non residents taking the close parking to my apartment and why are there non residents at the pool still bringing all their family with them and jumping the fence?
