Holly Crest is unfortunately a disaster. It has had three sets of managers since it opened and each set of staff gets worse. I'm sorely disappointed in the corporate response to complaints as six weeks has gone by and nothing from the head office. They have a tag line NWRCARES but that could be further from the truth.
If I could give it a zero that would be more fitting.
I lived in the apartments for over 2.5 years. The apartments had good management at the time it was under construction but then with time, new management came and the level of service decreased considerably. Examples are maintenance incidents taking longer; you have to do follow-ups before someone will come and provide maintenance service, etc.
However, the main reason for 1 star bad review is due to the kind of support they provided after check out. I am writing this review so readers can understand the tricks this apartment complex does and how to be smart during check out so you can get back your full deposit.
So the main trick which this apartment does is that they will NOT do the final inspection in front of you (when you move out). After you move out, they freely charge you whatever they want. There is no way for you to contest their charges because you have been trapped. How to be smart about it..?
After it happened to me, I talked to many (small) apartment complexes owners (who I know via common friend) and they told me its a common unjust practice where apartment pass-on the expenses to old tenants. The ONLY way you can avoid this is to make sure that you FORCE leasing office to do final inspection in front of YOU. Leasing office might say that its not allowed / its not legal / we are busy etc. But you really need to push them to come and provide written confirmation that everything is fine in apartments. Leasing office is trained to avoid final inspection in front of you because then it gives them full freedom to charge you for anything. If leasing office still do not do the inspection then at least make them sign a paper that you requested to do final inspection but office has refused to do inspect in front of you. This is important piece of paper which you can show to court in your favor when they deduct unfair charges.
After you leave the apartment without inspection, there is literally no way for you to challenge their charges.
Unlike anything you'll find in the area. The place is like a resort. The amenities spaces are ridiculous. I'll forever compare apartment communities to this one. And, unfortunately for those other apartments, I'm positive they'll come up short.
This place is great and I would recommend living here to anyone who asked.
It's new and that's what I was looking for,once the community is finished and people are in and settled this will determine just how good a community it is.
I am very disappointed in the fact that it is almost December and we have no amenities available yet. I was promised the gym would be open by October when I signed the lease in July. I have heard from other residents that they are paying less rent for the same exact apartment and signed after I signed. Very upsetting. Our federal mail is delivered in unsecured open mailboxes which is very scary to me same for outgoing mail.I can only have 1 key fab for my apartment. Very, very inconvenient.
