Bait and switch pulled prior to move-in. New unit was not turmed over betweem residents: carpet is dirty, trash left in unit, walls have furniture marks on them, tile in bathroom has mold, sprinkler heads are covered in tape, entrance doors do notblock. And the best part is the a.c.doesn't work. 3 days into my lease and I haven't been able to move in yet. "I'll try to get maintenance in today to look at it" is what I was told. That's also what I was told Saturday when I should have been moving in. Bit of course, nothing has been done. And like the precious poster, no apology or compensation for my delay (and rhe storage fees i'm incurring because i have to hold my moving truck). Don't waste your time here. If rhe incompetent staff wasn't enough of a deterrent, the buildings and interiors are the original 30 year products. Outdated, dirty, and poorly managed.
PROS- close to restaurants, shopping, hospitals, charlotte, allows pets, not stuck in some cable pkg that alot of apartments make you get, clean grounds. You pay your own water usage and not an average of the building.
CONS- more fees than originally discussed when applying. I was told I would pay water, sewage, valet trash. Well, you also pay Storm water drainage fees, compactor fees, water admin fee on top of the already said fees. Depending on maintenance request it can take a while to get it completed. I also found a tool in my bedroom on my chair with no note as to why, who, what was fixed in my apartment. Apartments appliances not updated, all carpet, not equipped for new dryers (go on and buy another cord for your dryer to use). No one did a walk through on my apartment prior to me moving in. I had light bulbs out, toilet was constantly running, wrong light bulb installed in living room overhead. Three windows has gaps at the bottom where they would not properly shut all the way allowing air flow in and out of the gap. two windows were adjusted to fit back down but I guarantee if I open and close they will not close right again. Still waiting on bedroom window to be fixed. Its going on 2 mos now. Glass tech lied and said he didn't come in to fix my window because a dog was inside. I have no dog in here and made it clear my personal pet has been gone for 6 weeks. Looks like construction work is going on outside, new paint, grills being worked on etc and its been non stop since I have moved in. Noise during the day and sometimes still going when I get in from 5pm.
SO add about 70-100.00 xtra in fees to whatever your rent quote is after water, sewer, trash and added fees. That is a more accurate estimate. Ridiculous.
Here we are Friday afternoon and NO AC!!!
Maintenance did come and tried ti fix it,

it's going to be 92 degrees tomorrow....
No help, No compensation. 82 degrees now in the bedroom...sleep tight!!
