Ratings & Reviews
Overall Ratings

The District is a wonderful community where the students are the center focus of the staff. They ensure that the environment is one that encourages learning and being prepared for the future. The staff is extremely nice, caring and understanding. They are always trying to do what is best for you. They host a series of events to show the appreciation of the students including Taco Tuesday and Thanksgiving dinner. There are many things that they do that are too numerous to mention.

Thank you so much for the great review! We are glad that you enjoy the resident functions. We also work very hard to provide an environment that is safe and encourages learning. Please let us know if you need anything.
April 06, 2015I was looking into perhaps living here due to the rating but once I actually read the reviews, I'm never going to rent from these people in my life. Their buildings are neglected, I see tons of people complaining about water damages and poor maintenance practices. Being from Chicago, it causes me concern and wonder if the housing authority should be contacted for a thorough inspection. I'm looking to the apartments over on Vanstory street instead, much nicer reviews from real tenants and they look greatly maintained as well for the same price as this place.

This is the worst freaking place EVER!! They never fix anything, they increased rent during a pandemic, the kitchen is always dirty, the cameras dont work, laundry room is dirty, washer/dryers always out of order, pool has been closed for 3+ years so if you are looking into getting this because the pool DONT PLAY YOURSELF. The rooms are poorly remodeled, they repaint over a already bad paint job and the paint starts peeling within a few months of living there. Not only that THEY HAVE MOLD!! They dont fix ANYTHING and the office is barely open. The management here is the worst that I have ever experienced. If you do not want a sour first apartment experience DONT LIVE HERE. They are extremely inconsistent and inconsiderate. They have little regard for how they tenants feel and take advantage of first time college students. Take this advise and dont waste your time or money.

My son lived there for his first year of college. We moved him out after 10 months and paid the remaining two months to serve our lease. During the 10 months his car was broken into, his apartment flooded, the AC worked about 50% of the time, the common areas were filthy and the management stonewalled whenever we tried to work with them. It is affordable and a good location, but very poorly run. The management takes advantage of the fact that it is student housing and does very little until a parent walks in and complains.

The ovens are old and broken down, you can't access the game room or study areas on the weekend, the laundry room is filthy and there are pet hairs everywhere. You can not make noise which is supposed to be beneficial but it is not, I received a noise complaint my first night in that was supposed given to the whole floor. They try to fine you for noise complaints. My rent was raised. The front desk has bad service. They don't abide verbal contracts. If you don't record them when you talk they will change the story. They don't accommodate their faults. They don't follow through with their promotions. The whole facility is one big trap. I was offered three promotions upon moving in and not one promotion was fulfilled. I've never seen such bad business in my life. When july approaches I will be moving out. This is not a contract any decent person would want to be stuck in.
