Life is easy at Summerwind. We provide fantastic amenities that include a wellness center with a children's area, a billiards room, a covered grilling area, a gorgeous swimming pool, and a clubhouse. Apartments at Summerwind feature large balconies with French doors, built-in desks with granite tops, crown molding, wood-style flooring, gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, and elegant bathrooms with marble countertops.
We've been pleased with our new 3-bedroom, ground floor apartment. We're in the back of the building and find it's relatively quiet and very private.
One person above is exceptionally flat-footed. I hesitate to ask that she wear some thick slippers. Sounds like she walks on her heels and she walks a lot. Can't figure out where she's walking to:-)
Garbage and recyclables area looks great, but is not monitored and very badly abused by uncaring residents. People continue to throw pizza boxes on the floor instead of in the compactor. The bins are overflowing and so many other miscellaneous items are put in the collection room that they sometimes makes it impossible to open the door and enter. The whole room needs to be emptied more frequently. Frankly, it's not adequate for a complex with this many apartments.
I have been here since July 2017 and have not had any major issues with the property. The individuals in the leasing office have been extremely friendly and they are prompt to come out when maintenance concerns arise. The only ongoing issue is the trash compactor breaks and residents still leave their trash. I wish there were more recycling options outside of cardboard boxes. Great location and neighbors are friendly.
If you wanted a luxury apartment that had the smell of trash in the air , water sprinklers that leave water spots all over your car and internet that constantly goes down this is the place for you.
The staff clearly doesnt teach the new residents or current on how to use a trash compactor nor do they enforce dog policies as you walk through the property dogs arent on leashes as well as land minds all over the grass
be careful how you ask questions. me and my fiancee ask Bout pets. Kathy the sales agent expressly said " oh there's no ddposit" then we asked about credit history.. Kathy said " oh you can't be turned down " $$99 to $ 500 " would be your credit disk history deposit . she lied . so then we say ok here's our '$59 each app fee" Nd anotherv $150 hold fee. 1 day later we get an email bout a $500 pets deposit. we cringe. a d then a non acceptance because of credit? I had o my a 469 direct tv bill judgement. after talk g with others.. we do I d this is normal practice. cause Kathy makes money on non recu sable deposits. ... you do the math
On-site staff is exceptional and extremely accommodating; genuinely nice people. We have a noise problem from the residents in the unit above ours. We have been more than patient in working with the on-site staff, and realize that they are limited in their ability to assist based on NC statutes. We have patiently avoided involving law enforcement in the hopes that the occupants in the unit above us would gradually adhere to the good neighbor policy in the contracts we all signed.
