All About

Living in Garner, NC

There are many communities in North Carolina that offer apartments in the Raleigh area with both a comfortable, suburban feel and a convenient proximity to everything that the state's capital has to offer. But newcomers would perhaps feel most confident moving to a community with deep roots and a long history that portray both the resilience and the neighborliness that is cherished by residents. Those who rent apartments in Garner will be able to glance around the historic downtown, meet their new neighbors and immediately get a sense of these endearing qualities.

The town of Garner is so deeply rooted in American history that it was the site of actual combat during the Civil War. The New Bethel Church and the structure known as the "Garner House" can still be inspected for the bullet holes that were made during the final days of battle. Residents in Garner apartments cannot glance around without seeing some proof of the gradual and steady progress that former generations made in order to create the idyllic suburb that exists today. Even the main highway that connects Garner to Raleigh was a dirt path called Holloman's Road until 1918.

Built on the backs of cotton plantations and small manufacturing and mercantile business, the town has preserved through several centuries. Today, residents in Garner apartments relish the payoff. Rapid growth and prosperity allow today's population to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle and community events such as the Miss Garner Scholarship Pageant.
