Wonderful staff, so friendly, helpful and competent.
I love that the complex is very quiet and doesn't have a lot of people making a lot of noise. The last place I lived there were people driving around in cars with the radio blaring, weird men standing around working on their cars and staring at you. People here generally are normal, professional people that show respect for their neighbors.
I also like the landscaping, it is a very pleasant place to walk my dog around and I love the pool.
Great location, great staff, reliable maintenance. Lucky to have great neighbors, also. Apartment layouts are both stylish and functional (the bathrooms are HUGE and the kitchens have plenty of cabinet/drawer space - key!). Have already recommended two tenants who've signed leases.
There are a lot of things I really like about Berkeley at Southpoint - the beautiful landscape and the excellent way it is kept up. The fast service if I have a problem with my apartment. The great lighting of the parking lot. The things I am not as happy with - the temperature in the fitness center - all winter I asked them to turn the heat down and several other people there agreed. It would seem to me that you would not mind turning the heat down as it would save you money. Now in the summer it is still to warm and the ceiling fans are not really effective. I would like to see large wall fans that would rotate to move the air more. Another thing is the high turnover of people in the office. I think the rent goes up to much each year - way more that I get each year. The recycle bin gets full so fast and needs to be picked up more - also people are putting cardboard in there instead of the cardboard bin right next to it.
I work long hours so I am out most of the day. I've not heard or experienced any unusual issues by my surroundings, or by my neighbors. The walls are well insulated in comparison to other similarly aged building. My apartment is clean and I don't have any pest or mold issues.
Staff and maintenance care about your concerns and resolve concerns immediately. They are centrally located near everything, shopping, mall, great restaurants, food stores, nail salons, Walgreens, Rite Aide, CVS, transportation. Its safe and quite here. The property is very well maintained inside and out as well as the pool, fitness center, laundry facilities and tennis courts.
