The Bailey Apartments

The property is now on the 3rd property owner - they took over Dec 2021. The property manager - Ryan is the worst human being I have ever encountered. Their offices will never answer you, your service tickets which will be many will not be looked at for months. The fees you pay for? such as trash pick up - guess what? they dont pick up your trash. The complex doesn't do pest control, the previous owners used to do it seasonally but now you need to submit a ticket for pest control - which by the way they won't service within same month...or two..or three. We were without a stove for 2 months during the holidays. Also they will charge you insurance each month even if you had already purchased renters insurance. No one answers their phone, and they The only time the staff called me was when I advised I was moving out, they called me right away. Not to ask about our concern but to check the outstanding issues so they could send vendors right away to fix it all - once the issues were fixed (that were pending 3-4 months) the Property manager, Ryan called and pretty much said "well we got them all fixed". Didn't care nor took accountability of the issues that he as the property manager is not resolving. He then said he would look at all the service failure and advise later on if they were going to make any concessions regarding the break of lease fee, he then emailed me - not called - emailed me advising they were not waiving any fees and placed the blame on me as to why the services weren't done in a timely manner. Funny story - right after we found out the A/C leak from March is still not resolved - our carpet is wet and the A/C is leaking. The AC wall had rotten so previously they had to install a new drywall. DO NOT MOVE HERE! they do not care about your rights as a tenant and the moment you mention moving out they will fix the issues right away so they can get away with charging you fees for breaking the lease.

We just returned from going to look over the apartment that we signed and paid the deposit and fees for. We were supposed to be moving in on Friday 9/16 and were contacted by email and text confirming that. Upon arrival we were told that the apartment we were getting ( actually a choice of 2) were special priced but there was a problem and no apartments were available at this rate. But.coincidentally they have other vacancies for another $300 a month if we are interested. After asking for the deposit and fees back we were told a check would be cut and mailed from Chicago and we could pick it up in their rental office when it gets here. 100% bait and switch, manager couldnt be bothered to talk to us and relayed the information through the receptionist and rental agent. We have filed a formal complaint with the Attorneys General and the BBB and am asking for anyone else who has been scammed by them to do the same.

Very overpriced even tho the units are big and spacious I had water bugs constantly in my home and when it was time to leave because they made the rent higher i still havent received my deposit back even tho I left my unit in good conditions and I was a good tenant

Very overpriced for the quality of the apartment. I've had a terrible move-in experience. My apartment was supposed to be renovated but it was very poor quality and things weren't completed at move-in. Apartment wasn't cleaned or checked prior to my move-in. Customer service is terrible. Maintenance takes a very long time to respond.

I was a potential resident and I was all set to move in the first week of September 2020. So I went to do a walk through of the place and I was sore disappointed with the size of the place. I had only viewed the videos a thousand times and the size seemed to be open and inviting. However, that was not the case once I viewed my willow layout. It was small if you have full size furniture and a family. Jennifer an office employee was more than nice as I about had a breakdown once I saw the place. I mean after all, I had already had the lights switched over and cable turned on in my name plus renters insurance for the place. I had given my landlord my 30 days notice and was excited to enjoy my family here. Alvista has a beautiful land scape and the residents seemed to really love walking around with their families. All that to say this Jennifer and Jamie wasted no time giving me my options about how to move forward. They did not take it personal and become rude. They really did all they could do to help satisfy me. I also contacted senior management and they were helpful. I would encourage anyone to physically see any home before signing a lease. Honestly I think Alvista would have been a wonderful place to live if it wasn't for my draw back.

This place is terrible they dont care about you, they charge you for services you dont even need and they dont even provide. Water bugs everywhere, walls are thin, neighbors are rude as heck. Always something going on or breaking. Leasing company do not respect their own rules thats they set forth because all they are thinking about is money. Cant wait until my lease is up.
