As a current resident, I am surprised at the number of positive reviews. I have lived here 11 mos and I am tired of the ongoing building issues. At least 1 of the elevators is frequently out of service. The building is often unsecured due to broken locks on the doors leading from the garage into the building. Since the key fobs don't work on these broken doors locks - residents often tape the door latches open. The 4th and 5th floor locks have been broken for the last month. Prior to this, the 1st floor door lock was broken. You can imagine how frustrating it is to have an armful of groceries - or luggage - and you find you can't enter the building from the garage level on your apartment floor because the lock is broken! Liberty Warehouse is in downtown Durham - so the lack of security is concerning at the price point they charge for rentals. The leasing office staff is always very apologetic - but the situation is never resolved in a timely manner and they fail to communicate with residents. For example, they rarely send out a message to alert residents that an elevator isn't working. We just have to figure it out. Another sore point with building residents is mail delivery. Mail and packages are constantly being "lost" or delivered to the wrong residents. While the leasing office isn't responsible for the mistakes made by the US postal service - it is a BIG problem in this building. Residents are frequently posting messages on the building portal trying to find their lost packages. Luckily most residents are helpful and will drop off or return mail that has been delivered to them by accident. Lastly, if you plan to use the pet spa - I recommend that you visit it before signing a lease. There is a really bad odor in the pet spa that never seems to go away (perhaps due to poor ventilation). I will not be renewing my lease. The best thing about the apartment is the location. And while the staff is polite - they don't resolve problems & blame mgmnt.
Liberty Warehouse is a good place to live, in a prime location. The ON-SITE team does a good job with making sure residents are taken care of! Only downside is that there may be pets in over 50% of the building, but there's no dog park.
Great location and friendly community.
Great place to move-in. Very helpful and professional staff. Fair and friendly process.
We were blown away by how helpful and friendly the Liberty Warehouse team was. They really go above and beyond to make us feel welcome!
