I've enjoyed my time living at Legacy at Meridian. The location is the biggest selling point. It's convenient to Duke and to the RTP area. Amenities are pretty much what you expect from any apartment complex in this price range. Parking is tricky sometimes. My only complaint is that it's hard to get to the office because it's only open from 9AM-6PM. If I have a package that gets delivered there, it may sit for days because the only time I can get to the office is on Saturday.
Very friendly staff, love the trash pick up program and very clean apartment complex. In response to the building exterior rating below, I think the new color choices being painted on the garages and buildings have created a dated, dirty look. The light color was significantly more inviting, modern and clean looking. If the complex was painted the way it's being painted now, I would not have stopped in on a whim to check out the apartments as I did when first moving into Legacy at Meridian.
Enjoying my time
The community is absouletly beautiful and the location is so very close to everything. The office staff however are very rude esp. the property manager Tina. She is the reason a really great former staff member quit Legacy, Tim and the turnover rate for staff has been ridiculous since living here. Her attitude is nasty and she does not know how to professionally talk to people at all. When I first moved in I talked to other residents at the pool area about their opinion of Legacy and the one thing they all had to say was the office staff is never consistent, there are always new people and Tina is something else and now that I live here, I have been able to confirm that all those in fact are true. On the bright side, they do have fun events and food trucks here :)
Wish I could give no star. When I first saw the apartment I thought it was such a great one. Then I started to realize everything in there was made of cheap materials and easy to break. The staff members one year ago were nice but current ones were too aggressive. If you dont submit the paycheck before 4pm on the 5th, they will order you to get a money order no matter you are in the middle of work or not. I felt bad every time after talking to them. The maintanence team was nice though. Its not a pet friendly apartment either. If you have a pet, you need to prepare to give up getting your deposit back or to pay even more at the time you move out. The complex is a low-medium level setup anyway.
