    Went to tour, the property is nice but the vibe and trash isn't. Also, I know that prices change daily but the price they gave was no where near what it says online. $500.00 off.

    The state of this place is horrible. No one cleans any common places like the garage or the mail rooms or the hallways. Theyre disgusting. No one is dusting down cob webs, power washing or even aesthetically keeping the place. They raised my rent over $300 and the maintenance man asked me for masking tape to repair my refrigerator. My air conditioning unit has broken or stopped working 7 times in a little over a year. The ducts seem to be clogged because there is an annoying creaking noise coming from the vents. The staff is friendly but very matter of fact. The garage doors keep breaking and Instead of replacing or upgrading them theyre just patching things up like they do everything else here. They cant manage the trash for some reason. Long story short, for the price we pay for rent here the grounds are mediocre despite LUXURY APARTMENTS being plastered all over the place. You can pay the same rent and pick one of the many many MANY true luxury apartment complexes in the city. The only reason I am still here is because I was tricked into signing the base rent lease before the RBS fees were disclosed to me by the property manager. There was a $270 difference that he swore to me was only $50 because they were replacing other expenses

    I've lived at Venue Apartments on 7th Street for 3 years and have overall been pretty happy here. Recently the community was abruptly purchased by The Connor Group, a company based out of Dayton, OH who have rebranded it as Elizabeth Station and driven it into the ground in the matter of about 6 weeks. We noticed an immediate negative impact. Obviously when management changes hands there are bound to be some growing pains but I want to tell you why this is different and you should not live here under any circumstances. Trash and cleanliness has gotten out of control. The new apartment cleaning staff pile trash into the hallways and just let it overflow. We've called the office several times a week for over a month and they keep telling us "it's the city's fault". It's gotten to the point that we regularly see cockroaches roaming the hallways and garage. It's completely disgusting. When I finally got a meeting with Dustin, the property manager, he flat out told us that The Connor Group is not in the business of property management, that they are a real estate business who buys apartment complexes that are struggling financially and "flip" them in no longer than 3 years and cut and run with the profit. He tells us that the reason no one cleans the common areas any more is because they have one person (for over 300 units) to clean and they won't hire more to keep their costs down. I'm not exactly sure why he was so candid about only caring about the money, I got the sense that he has never managed a property before and didn't understand that as tenants, we're customers and we probably don't feel too great about their margins and profitability when our apartments smell like trash and there are pests and rodents everywhere. The property owner does not care about this community any further than the bottom line and it's been painfully obvious.
