The office staff is great and so is the maintenance staff. I love my neighbors too. I've lived in the community for over 3 years. I started in a 3 bedroom and downsized to a 2 bedroom.
It is a quiet community that prides itself on ensuring that the residents have all of their needs met.
While Bexley Panther Creek is a phenomenal complex in terms of its location, office staff, and overall apartment appearance, the fact that they can never give you true dollar amounts when transferring and/or leaving the complex is the cause for the 2 star rating. I moved from this complex at the turn of the new year and recently received my bill for my move out charges. On the bill, I can very clearly see that the original amount owed of $XX is scratched out and instead $XXX is written in fresh blue ink (XXX is 10x the amount of XX). When I called to ask about this change, the reasoning that I was charged was because my carpet had "reached an age over 35 months therefore needed to be entirely replaced". They then attempted to justify the charge more by stating that normally this was over $1000 so really I was getting a deal. How is it a deal when I am being charged because I just happened to move in and then out of the apartment at an apparently critical time in the carpet's life. I have continued to dispute the charges however it appears there will be no relieve. I would recommend the property as a great place to live, but be careful if you ever transfer to another property or leave the complex as you can see from my explanation above. They will always justify a charge by stating they could've charged much more (More rent, more damage fees, more etc...) to the point that you want to feel guilty disputing the charges. However, charges such as "the carpet was older than 35 months so we replaced it on your dime instead of patching it for the original $XX on the move out agreement form" are ones that are the exact reason I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth after 6 great months with this complex. Renter beware as I had a similar experience when I transferred to a new apartment in the complex as well and they charged me $XXX for my old apartment even after verbally acknowledging that I would owe nothing if I paid an exact amount.
I would give this property a rating of excellent if it weren't for the walls being so thin. I can easily here my neighbors above me all the time. And I know they aren't being reckless because they're having the same issues with the people above them. This apartment would be the best if it weren't for the noise
The leasing clerks were very hit or miss.
