The property is sold up front as luxury apartment living. If you choose to move in here, you will quickly realize that this is not the case. Mold growth around lower wall outside of shower was repeatedly ignored by management and maintenance for a period of 3 months. It was immediately redirected as our problem as tenants to deal with - "We should buy some spray and shower with the door open." Turns out, upon the 3rd visit to investigate the issue, they discovered that the mold was a result of a faulty shower head that was leaking small amounts of water on to the wall area. They fixed the problem, but we spent 2 weeks with unpainted, un-sanded wall spackle in our bathroom. I had to call to get someone to come back and finish the job. The balconies..oh, the balconies..We spent about 5 months with no access to our outside balcony. The concrete above had been removed, and most of the rotting wood joists were replaced. This wouldn't have been so bad if it would have been done according to a normal construction schedule, but after the concrete was removed and the joists were installed, it sat untouched for about 4 months. Like nothing got done..just a see through set of joists over our heads for 4 months. The door to the balcony was closed by the contractor by nailing a 2 x 4 across the door so that it would not open from the inside. When the contractors did finally get around to pouring the concrete, apparently they did it incorrectly. They had to completely remove all of the concrete again! We came home one day to find an enormous pile of concrete right outside of our back porch. Luxury living! This process, along with the constant presence of construction debris, concrete dust, and unsafe working conditions really wore on us. Under what sort of management does it take 5 months to redo a balcony? Live here and you can find out. No recycling. It's 2018 and this enormous apartment complex does not have recycling available to it's tenants. You can do better.

We lived at Ethan Pointe for many years until we recently bought a house. Overall, Ethan Pointe is probably the best apartment complex in Burlington. They have a number of amenities that are well maintained, and they make sure to hold residents responsible for keeping the place looking nice. A lot of places around Burlington will make empty threats about not cleaning up pet waste, balconies, or trash. Ethan Pointe actually makes sure people are accountable, which makes it a nice place to live and visit (unless you don't adhere to the guidelines.)

The tennis and basketball courts, and pool are cared for very well and the maintenance is quick to respond. The place is family friendly without much noise. Of course, some people do complain about their neighbors, but many of them fail to realize that it's ultimately the resident's responsibility to contact law enforcement if management can't resolve the issue. We have a lot of friends around the area and we found the management to really be the best. Karen and Christy listen to your concerns and we always had a reasonable response. For instance, the balcony issue that others have mentioned caused us to have an unusable amenity for several months. They pushed to get the pool open two weeks ahead of schedule that year. Management compensated us with free extra storage and no increase in rent for that year after we asked. It doesn't take the place of a balcony, but they do work with you and go to bat for you. They reach out to the community on a regular basis, but in a helpful way that keeps the place safe and in good condition.

We only had a few minor issues when living there. First, the insulation is poor, which causes electric bills to go through the roof. We had bills as high as $250 during cold spells for a two bedroom while our friends that lived elsewhere in Burlington didn't see near the increase. The average came out to around $120. Again, a minor complaint. Generally a great place to live and highly recommended!

I've been dealing with the noise of my upstairs neighbor for 4 years. It started as an every now and then thing, then progressed to every day and all day/night non-stop. They have moved people in, left children here unattended for hours at a time, and have simply gotten louder. This running around, bumping/banging, running the washing machine and dyer, etc lasts from morning to morning (yes, morning to the next morning literally). Not to mention quiet time is from 9am to 9pm. I don't think they've ever honored that. Unfortunately, even contacting management has not helped. This has been a horrible experience.
