Having been an existing resident now for 16 years, we have been extremely happy with our home in Avalon Peaks. Management and maintenance, which has changed a few times over the years, have always been helpful, and efficient taking care of any and all problems, when ever they occur. The major benefits and advantages. of Avalon Peaks has always been, having large screened in porches, larger apartments in general with dining rooms that accomodate dining room tables, home like atmosphere with many trees and well maintained grouds
that provide more of a single home environment with different character to each building, Not having wall to wall pavement like many other complex's 3 or more stories high, Only having a maximun of 2 stories. Built with tenants in mind, having noise proof walls, which makes it much more private knowing the walls are not paper thin. .

I have lived here 12+ years. I love that the grounds make AP seem more like home than other apts. with so much concrete. The staff is friendly and always making sure the property stays well kept. AP is close to good shopping and good places to eat and have fun with friends and family.

We stayed here for only 4 months when we relocated to NC from CT. We do have a dog and paid the additional pet fee. Our dog was only allowed on the first floor and never went upstairs. In those 4 months we had to call the office to help us trap and get rid of 5 mice. There was construction going on in the unit next to us and I feel they were probably disturbed there and came over into our unit. We also had to deal with the pool being shut down for 2 days after a child went to the bathroom in the pool. We have kids so we know accidents happen but feel this was very irresponsible of the other tenants living with a shared pool to not have the child wearing appropriate clothing or watching them closer. It was disgusting and I didn't want my kids in the pool even after it was cleaned. After we moved out we made sure the unit was cleaned yet in spite of that we were then charged over $300 for a pet cleaning fee. When we first moved in we recommended Avalon to people. Now we don't.

Pet friendly. Great if you don't mind listening to your neighbors pets and stepping around what they don't pick up. Urine smell is better since neighbor with 3 dogs in a one bedroom apartment has moved.

I spent days making sure the house was perfectly clean before I left so I could earn my deposit back. Then they refused to give it back for carpet stains that weren't from me that were only visible after they had ripped up the carpet and looked for them underneath...
