The State University of New York - College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), was founded in 1911 as the New York State College of Forestry at Syracuse University. As one of New York's oldest and more original colleges, ESF ranks among the top 50 public national universities, according to the US News & World Report.
Located on a 17 acre campus in Syracuse, the school also has 25,000 acres on regional campuses throughout Central New York and the Adirondack Park. With 22 undergraduate and 30 graduate programs, ESF has plenty of areas to study, including programs in the sciences, engineering, forestry and landscape architecture. Its partnership with Syracuse University allows students to take classes at the school and use many of their facilities.
