The place is in a good location near the mall and other necessary stores. There is a great gym nearby; New York Sports Club. Parking sometimes can be an issue since its not assigned. They update the appliances in the kitchen and bathroom from time to time. AC units are built in the wall and old. You have no control over the thermostat and it often was too hot during the winter. Walls are thin and you can easily hear your neighbor. The complex only has one entrance and its one-way. It gets annoying having to wait at the light just to make a U-turn to get there. No other ammendities (ie pool, clubhouse, recreation etc). It was a good place to live temporarily. The maintenance crew guys are very nice and hard working. They do what they can for snow removal. Laundry room is not in every building so it may be a far walk dependning on your unit.
Where to start? People have too many cars- or visitors park in the resident parking so if you get home after 8 or like to go out after 8, you will be parking tediously at the exit of the complex, or on the highway. The lease specifically says you are not guaranteed a parking spot so there is nothing you can do. There is also a mouse problem. The walls are paper thin and the floors creak pretty bad if you live downstairs. Insanely hot in the winter so much so that you will need a fan in the window. $300 water fee annually. Two laundry rooms with half of the machines broken. Spend the extra money to live elsewhere.
