Originally founded in 1955, Molly College is a private college located in Rockville Centre, on Long Island. The college's primary goals are to prepare students with the skills and confidence they need to negotiate their way through the job market upon graduation. It is primarily a commuter school, with the majority of students living in off campus apartments. Attending Molloy College allows students the versatility to make the decisions they need to succeed.
Molloy is a multidimensional liberal arts school with more than 50 different programs to choose from. It was founded by the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Cross, and as such carries deep Catholic values in its ethos. It is what many consider to be an optimally-sized school, with about 4,200 students attending at a given time. It offers a curriculum that is at once academically challenging while being small enough that personal interactions with professors are not uncommon.
Of course, living in an off campus apartment allows students plenty of opportunities to head into New York City when looking for something to do. With a virtually endless number of activities, New York is a cultural hub, if ever there was one, and a student living in the area can take advantage of all that it has to offer.
