The apartments are beautiful. The staff is very hard working and friendly. The location is great. There is still some work being done, but they are making a lot of progress.

The staff at Albany Lofts have been incredibly helpful from the beginning. They helped me pick a unit that was perfect for myself and my partner. The apartment has wonderful amenities that are included at a great price for the area. Beautiful place to live!
I love living at 1 Broadway, but the only reason I rated my overall satisfaction as good and not excellent is because of the frequent fire alarms that were going off during the first year of my residence, and the lack of response from the maintenance staff when I got locked out all weekend because they wouldn't meet me to let me in to my apartment to get my spare keys. Besides that, everything is great! (Since the beginning of this year, I have had no trouble with the fire alarms and maintenance response.)
The premises, both inside and outside the building, are kept in impeccable condition. It is quiet and the residents are friendly. Maintenance and the rental office are very responsive. However, the parking is very inconvenient, especially if you have to unload items from your vehicle. There are limited spaces near the building. This required that we purchase two carts, approximately $70 each, in order to carry in groceries, etc. The only other significant concern which was not something we would have realized during the initial showing is that since our apartment is in the front of the building, for several hours during the day, sun shines directly into our living room and kitchen, and it is blinding. We have curtains up, but because the top of the windows are curved, and we have to use tension rods, there is no way to cover the very top of the windows. I understand why it is requested that we not install curtain rods, but I feel an exception should be made for apartments facing the front of the building so that the entire window can be covered, in order to block out all of the sunlight if needed/preferred.
