Vineyard Commons is a lovely community for those wanting privacy and those liking many friends . The amenities are bountiful . And the general appearance of the grounds and buildings are impressive . Thank you for making my life more than bearable !
When we moved here 3+ years ago, Vineyard Commons was clean, management responded to the needs of the residents and the amenities were very nice ( including a restaurant). When new owners took over a year ago last November everything changed. Representatives from Village Green and Wolfe assured us that our management team would remain and that they had " BIG" plans for new and better amenities. Well, our office staff ( with the exception of one young woman) were all let go, we have no restaurant, we have one housekeeping woman who is expected to clean all of the buildings by herself. She is working as hard as she can, but without help, our buildings look dirty and dated. We have not been able to use our pool all summer because they neglected to repair / replace a heater. The pool water is frigid!! Our fitness center has been under construction since July 10th. They did move the exercise machines to our art room but there are no padded floors or mats for stretching or other floor exercises. People used to enjoy listening to music or watching TV when working out and now, it is simply an empty room that machines were thrown into. They advertise a badminton court and a bike trail; we have neither. We have tennis courts which are not regulation size and a gravel path which is too dangerous to bike on , especially for 55+ population. They advertise hardwood floors, but the reality is, the floors are laminate. For a 55+ active community, we have many, many permanent reserved handicap parking spaces. Entering the buildings, you will notice cracked tiles, walls & trim in desperate need of cleaning and paint and hall carpeting that should be cleaned, not just vacuumed
It is a shame that management has let things go downhill. Rents are increasing more than people on fixed incomes can afford. Several people are now moving out, when they originally thought they would be here for the rest of their lives. Owners and management do not listen to residents whom are paying rent.
