Bradford Place Apartments

Current building manager is not a pleasant person to deal with sometimes. She literally broke the law and discriminated against us when she told us she wasn't renewing the lease. I believe it was worth more to management to get us out, update it, and then raise the rent. I didn't fight it because I didn't want to create a more hostile situation. I would have rather had a fresh start at a place with nicer, less greedy, less cheap management. They invest very little into repairing the building. There are no regular cleaners for the common areas. I usually cleaned the laundry room myself with my own products. It was mostly for my benefit so that I wasn't doing laundry in filthy machines, but the rest of the building benefited. Most of the time, there is one older gentleman who is responsible for all of the maintenance and he isn't given proper protective equipment. And when the management company started buying up other properties in the area, he became responsible for those as well. There was mold in all of our outside walls - but they tried to minimize the issue and/or blame us. If you live in the lower floor, be prepared for a lot of noise coming from the upstairs neighbors. Even if you have decent neighbors, it still gets noisy sometimes. The dumpster gets emptied twice a week, but even then, sometimes it gets overfilled and some of the grosser/lazier tenants will just leave their garbage on the ground outside of the dumpster when it's full. Despite all of this, it's a decent place to live compared to other apartment complexes in the area. The benefit of having an uncaring property management company is that they aren't watching everything you do like some other companies. Most of the neighbors are decent people. There is some rif raf next door at the Claire Court apartments, but in the last 3-4 years I didn't see as much trouble over there as there used to be.
