I'm 7 months pregnant with twins and my husband and I moved here to settle down and get ready for our growing family. Our experience in the two months being here as been extremely stressful and frustrating. Some reasons -Before moving in, the apartment had issues (leak from roof, leak from sink, fire sprinkler broken, etc) -Urgent maintenance requests like water coming into the bedroom we are supposed to sleep in, taking almost two months to get addressed properly -Active rail line right behind apartment -Upper Management are dismissive and rude

When I came to the Avalon in Garden City I had some concerns, being I came from the Westbury Avalon. They told me everything I wanted to hear. That being said. The garbage is piled SKY HIGH and never put in the Containers. The neighbors BLAST the TV till 3 in the morning and Management does nothing about it. The management there could careless about the garbage on the floor or the noise level. NOT TO MENTION THE PARKING . Not enough spots for the tenants, therefore the tenants park wherever they want and you could never get through. It's terrible and I am so disappointed in my decision. They lied just to get us in here and it is DREADFUL

DO NOT DO IT!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!! THEY WILL CHARGE FOR ALL KINDS OF THINGS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU WHEN YOUR LEASE IS UP.

Living at Avalon has been a pleasure. The grounds are maintained well, the staff is prompt and very responsive to any issues.

My experience is very limited as I have only been a resident for about three weeks. I find the apartment not to be in the fresh/pristine shape I was expecting. The staff is wonderful but whomever was hired to paint the apartment was terrible. The staff did not do a good job of looking over the apartment prior to our move in because if they did they also did a terrible job. There was a leak under the kitchen sink that went unnoticed and the carpet cleaning that was done left a moldy smell in the apartment that I have not been able to eradicate. The rent is not cheap and the fees required upfront are also not cheap but the quality inside the apartment is. Bathroom fixtures, really not good. I had to request new toilet seats because the one left there by the previous tenant and okayd by management were scratched up & disgusting. The complex looks great from the outside but up close is another matter.
