Adams Station Apartments

We lived at Adam's Station for between 2 and 3 years, In the beginning it was really good, then as we were more used to our surroundings, and settled in it was still ok, but we were finding that there weren't enough closets, what we had were shared with the water=heater; one large space was taken up with the furnace! So we really had one medium sized size closet! and another that we used but with the water heater in it, we didn't keep any good things just in case the heater blew up!! Now as I think on this, it was pretty good for what we needed at the time; the rents went up twice and then we took a place at a senior apartment complex.

Lived here for 6 months. The apartment itself was beautiful, however they recently "upgraded" from gas to electric heat. I was already into a lease so there is nothing that could be done. My electric bill more than doubled. Expect to pay $200-$300/month during winter months. After talking with one of the contractors we found out they were given a grant for free upgrades, but operating costs for tenants increase. Thermostats are funky and have to be set 3 degrees higher than you actually want the temperature, then when it kicks on it goes way warmer than it's set for. When it was time to move out they did a "pre" inspection with me present and all was well. They agreed the apartment was in great condition and I would get my deposit. Then when I actually moved out 7 days later, their story changed. They kept every dime stating my cat had "destroyed" carpeting. They sent photos that I do not believe were even my apartment and when I asked to see the carpet they told me it was already gone- less than 12 hours after I turned in the keys. The room they are claiming was damaged my cat was NEVER allowed in- it was used for storage and had about 14 totes, the door was kept sealed. One of their own contractors "warned" us that that "girls in the office will do anything to keep security deposits", and it's true. Between the high rent and electric, it is NOT worth it.

Clean, bright, quiet apartment. Management very responsive when requested help for access and minor maintenance.

Very nice, clean, well maintained place to live. Plowing and walkways were always cleared quickly when any snow came. Lawns always maintained. Office personnel were friendly and helpful. I would recommend living there.

Rent goes up every year but there are no improvements in the apartments. Front entrance doors need painting, very drafty and nothing upgraded. Also no screen door going out to the patio/decks on the newer model apartments. Very quiet, Landscaping is very nice and well kept up and maintenance and staff very good.
