I am looking for and apartment
It's a nice place to live if you're not worried about maintenance so much. Maintenance does an excellent job keeping the grounds clean and I have never had a pest problem in my apartment other than the occasional spider. However, if you have a problem inside your apartment, well, don't hold your breath. My first issue with them started the day I moved into my apartment. My patio sliding doors were missing about 12 of the tall vertical shades. I felt I moved into my apartment and it did not seem all that ready. I called and asked them to bring me shades. It took them 3 weeks to get the shades to me. Next issue: they refused to fix my bath tub despite water coming back out. After multiple complaints of my bath tub not working and months of notice, they never showed up -- even when they said they would!!!! I had to shower at my parent's home for weeks! I decided it was enough and hired someone to fix the bath tub. One last complaint, they take FOREVER to process anything other than your rent check. Just be aware of that. Other than those few complaints, I would say it is a very nice property. I like how they offer a 24 hour gym to the residents, it comes in handy. Oh yeah, one last thing, DON'T DRINK THE WATER inside the gym. It has a green-algae like fungus growing inside the filter. At least it did whenever I was there. I also can't wait to go swimming this summer inside the beautiful pool! The pond is fun to hang out by in nice weather too. Overall, though, I don't know if I'd like to renew my lease (even though it's my first year with them). I'll find out this summer. But I will do my best to enjoy it while I'm here!
Update: I did not renew my lease. We had a huge leak in our apartment and they neglected to fix it, patch it or treat it in anyway. The only thing they did was put holes in the ceiling to let it 'dry'.
