Could not have been more impressed! The staff is professional and accommodating. They took me to view as many new available apartments as I wanted to see until I felt confident with my choice. It is clear they take pride in showing how well kept the property is. I am looking forward to calling this home. I would greatly recommend anyone to go see it for themselves.
Ill begin with the Pros: This is truly a smoke-free property. As this is a new complex, the property is in good shape. Radiant heat (through floors) is nice. Now for the Cons: To enter the building and your unit, you need 2 separate keys (no RFID fobs). This makes carrying in groceries, etc. a hassle. You have to lug your trash to a dumpster out in the parking lot and theres only 1 for the whole sprawling property. The office staff is truly miserable and they will not hesitate to reprimand you without even having a conversation first (they gave us a noise complaint instead of giving one to the true source). Meanwhile, we can hear every word spoken by our downstairs neighbor, he shakes our floors while using a treadmill(?), and you can hear every single door open and close, including cabinets. Make sure you factor in the cost of doing laundry;it is COIN OP and costs $3 to wash & dry 1 load and you have to get your own quarters off site. You are lured in by granite countertops, etc. but they cut costs by providing the cheapest inefficient appliances (but who cares, you pay the electric bill). If you like having an electric stovetop/oven, a dishwasher that doesnt even have real buttons, and 1 overworked window-style AC unit for the whole unit, then Tocco Villaggio is for you! It blows my mind that they continue to build more apartment units but havent even broken ground on the promised pool/community room that our (high) rent pays for. You are watched on cameras at all entrances and laundry room even, and if youre lucky, the office will operate out of a unit in your building. They watched us leave to go to the store, and when we returned 20 mins later there was a notice hanging on our door. This gets back to them being afraid to speak with you directly to address any concerns. As with any apartment, you may have good or bad neighbors. Unfortunately ours likes to gossip, relentlessly complain, and acts like shes property manager. Moving out ASAP.
