Cazenovia College, NY

Cazenovia College was founded in 1824 and has an old and storied campus that has remained one of higher education's leaders for years. It is an undergraduate baccalaureate school that prides itself on giving students individualized learning to promote their success. The school was named one of America's Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report.

Cazenovia College has more than 1,000 students, at least 800 of which reside in college housing. As a primarily residential school, full-time freshmen, sophomores and juniors are required to live in student housing unless they live within commuting distance with family or have been granted exemption.

The school is located in Madison County's historic lakeside Village of Cazenovia, which is along U.S. Route 20. A variety of restaurants are all within walking distance of the campus, including casual and fine dining as well as fast food. Shops, art galleries and offices in the vicinity are available to provide goods and services that those in student housing need.

Central New York and the Albany are located to the east of the school, where the state's pioneer history can be explored and enjoyed. Syracuse, which is to the west, provides plenty of opportunities for all kinds of social and cultural events. Outdoor enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that the Finger Lakes Region; the Adirondacks and several ski areas are all within reasonable distance.
