The Residences at The Crossings is Albany's New Premier Luxury apartment community located on Aviation Road between The Crossings of Colonie and Wolf Road.
Residents will enjoy the contemporary style and finishings of our studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments as well as the ease of being footsteps from the best shops, restaurants and entertainment the region has to offer.
Having lived at other luxury apartments over the years, I do not think this complex should label themselves a luxury complex. Although brand new, it is built poorly. There is no concrete between the floors so you can feel it vibrate when another person walks across the floor, the paint is cheap, and you can see the main door has a small gap between it and the frame. Management acts like a camp babysitter, and is overbearing, contantly emailing about things we should or should not do, to the point I dread seeing her name in the emails. The residents are mostly older around retirement age, and not the most friendly. Every week I get more disappointed.
Management & maintenance people are very responsive & helpful, they go out of their way! The building is always clean inside and out. The renters (that includes me) are quiet and courteous of everyone living here. I'm in my 50's so do not want loud, noisy, partyers as neighbors. There is none of that. It's very quiet. I would say the tenants are a mix of empty nesters, retired or young professionals. We are located next to a jewel of a park, the Crossings! Walking distance to restaurants/shopping
The Residences at the Crossings do an excellent job at making you really feel at home. Responsive, caring, and friendly. They have periodic activities for the residents which brings us all together as a community. I would recommend it to others.
I've only recently moved to this location, but my time here so far has shown me that this was definitely the right decision. The staff is great, *super* responsive, and make it a point to make you feel right at home. If you are looking for a quiet place that's close to everything (including a beautiful park right in your backyard) and provides you with all the amenities your heart desires, this is it. I am very, very happy here and you will be too.
Though the rent is high,It is wonderful place to live. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and what you get here is outstanding. The staff's priority is taking care of their tenants and it's shown with the fine attention to detail given by the office administrator as well as the maintenance person. If I could offer one suggestion,it would concern the parking garages...they should be offered at a more affordable rate. Otherwise living here is second to none!
