Hawthorne Gardens, a division of the ROSETTI PROPERTIES, is a quiet, rural-like community located on six wooded acres in the Town of Guilderland. It is convenient to area shopping malls, restaurants, colleges, hospitals and professional buildings.
Hawthorne Gardens offer distinctively designed 1-2-3 bedroom apartments with private entry. Select floor plans including gas fireplaces, dens, patios or balconies. Residents enjoy a centrally located Community Center where they can retrieve mail, check the message board for community events and get to know their neighbors.
Hawthorne Gardens has an extraordinary Clubhouse with a library and a gas fireplace -- a perfect setting for residents to host an event. A Fitness Center, billiard/game room and a large deck overlooking the outdoor swimming pool is also located at the Club House. A picnic area with a BBQ is also nearby for residents' enjoyment.
Hawthorne Gardens provides a friendly management staff and a maintenance crew available 24/7 who are all willing to help make your stay in the community as pleasurable as possible.
Snow removal is always a challenge as well a parking year round. Management can also use some improvement. Its ok to be nice, but managing the property is better. Taking a walk to see what is going on with the property wouldnt hurt. Over the years tenants have been getting comfortable doing what they want to do and its making the outside of the properties look bad. Trash outside of the garbage/recycle bins, balconies cluttered, junk cars parked for months. HGA is no different than any other property except the washer and dryers.
I love living here. Our apartment is quiet and our neighbors are pleasant. The grounds are well taken care of. Any maintenance issues we have had have been taken care of. Our one-bedroom apartment is spacious and has ample storage space. We even have 1.5 bathrooms and a washer and dryer, which can be hard to come by, as well as central air! We have also enjoyed having access to the gym and the pool. We are in our third year, and I am still very happy here!
I am very close to rating HGA as excellent. Aspects that hold be back from doing so are the following: -apartment fixtures (cabinetry, lighting, floor tiling, faucets) are outdated. -gym equipment is unimpressive -office staff can be off-putting. I will note that this has changed over the years. When I first moved in, the office staff was impeccably kind, accommodating, and approachable. However, there has been remarkable turnover since then.
The grounds are nicely kept and the apartment is everything we were looking for. Parking can be a bit of a problem depending on the building.
Very nice apartments and grounds
