I love this amazing community. Able to relax after work. My dogs and my son are so excited to walk the amazing grounds. Perfect location to to everything! I can just walk to the store. Maintenance is awesome I did al my work orders done very quickly. The office is so helpful and cheerful, I love all the ladies! Apartment ratings site is incorrect! I wouldn't live anywhere else... I love the retreat at candelaria I do appreciate the office staff for making this a wonderful place to live!!!

This place is a mess. The management is disrespectful and overall rude. Theres a significant problem here with pests and other nuisances around the complex. I wouldnt recommend this place unless you want to be scammed out of a lot of money.

Where to begin, between the maintenance issues, and the lack of transparency, there are better options within the area. I have lived here 4 months and have had my water shut off twice without notice, air conditioning shut off, and most recently hot water. When the sprinklers run the water pressure drops to almost nothing. This property uses community utilities, so you have your normal utility bill, and then you have a much larger one for the rest of the property. This is for the 3 pools that are closed from fall to late spring, the electricity to heat the community water heaters, community air conditioning, the landscaping, the security (which may or may not exist) and any other unexpected surprises. None of this is disclosed in your lease, so be prepared to pay an additional $100-150 dollars extra per month. The community air conditioner sits in the parking lot, and comes on roughly every 6 minutes with the sound of tires screeching. It's off putting at first, and whether you are running the AC or not, you get to hear it. You can smell the odor that comes in through the vents when tenants smoke marijuana, or cigarettes, and it stains the ceiling with tar. The warm summer air blows the huge pile of dog feces from the maintenance guy next door into your apartment, so you get to enjoy that with dinner. Its a moot point trying to convey this to the office staff, as they could care less. It might look like a nice place at first, but do an actual walk through and ask lots of questions. Be sure to read your lease, and get a copy.

Renting agents do not listen to situations needing fixing for personal use that are defective. The garbage area is gross. I have to pay for lighting my own front door every night, all night. Garbage, sewer and water are not included like so many other rentals, costing $65 extra a month. Thermometer on my heating cooling are shut off and shut on manually. The windows are so thin, that in cold and hot weather it costs 3 xs as much if windows were energy efficient. MJK.
