The office staff is the worst. Super bad bug problem. Even if you call head to get your place sprayed they may or may not show up. Will try to charge anyway possible for anything they can possible charge you for. NO parking. Cars always get side swiped. And/or stolen/broken into at this complex. Super pricey and very unreasonable. This management team FDI in particular, is always increasing charges as well.
Pros: The location is great. It is a quiet area. I had a view of the mountains. Maintenance was pleasant and efficient.
1. Cost. There are larger, cheaper apartments in the same area.
2. Amenities. Often not available.
3. Poop. Dogs have gotten sick because of it.
4. Security. I never saw anyone from security. Some peoples cars and the mailboxes were broken into.
5. Management. Over the 3 yrs we had at least 4 companies; this current crop is horrible.
I made an appointment for my move-out inspection. The apartment on inspection day, except for the carpet, was pristine. The inspector took photos of everything. When she got to the oven, I realized that I had missed it. She circled housekeeping on the cost sheet, and I asked if I would be charged for housekeeping, thinking that they would charge for the oven. She said no, that she had marked it in error. She drew an X over housekeeping and instead marked carpet cleaning which we had discussed.
Later, I learned they charged me $40 for housekeeping. I went to the office. The staffer became very defensive and agitated. She told me that she did what was marked on the sheet from the inspection-lady. I explained that that mark had been in error and showed her the X on her copy. She said she needed to investigate further and would be in touch. Eventually, they discovered the error. However, they reviewed the pictures and saw that my oven was not clean. Instead of refunding the $40, they were charging me $25 for oven cleaning.
I paid these folks $750 for 500 sq ft for 3 years. $25 is not a big deal to me. The big deal is that they made a mistake and instead of apologizing, took the opportunity to squeeze out another $25.
When I moved in to Mountain Run, I felt as if I made a great choice. However, their actions in this move-out process show me that things have changed. I am glad that I got out when I did.
The most rude office staff you can imagine. Can't wait to move.
Moving isnt always a simple process but the office staff at Mountain Run made the transition a positive experience.
The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. Thanks.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This apartment complex deserves ZERO stars.
Faith who is the apartment manager is extremely rude and defensive anytime you bring up a problem. Her assistant is even worse.
Faiths manager Naim is also worthless - I emailed both of them about an issue and Naim didn't even bother responding.
I would HIGHLY recommend NOT living here. The customer service is an absolute joke. They don't care about the residents. There is a reason why Mountain Run Apartments are a little cheaper when compared to the other apartments surrounding it.
