Alvarado

I have lived at Alvarado for 4 years and with the new manager Andrea it has been a great improvement. Andrea and staff are friendly, helpful and the apartments are very convenient to downtown's bars and restaurants. The business office has been upgraded, the pool is wonderful (although it doesn't need to be open year round. So come join the fun !!

I write this 1 star review at 3 in the morning as I'm woken up yet again by my upstairs neighbor walking normally to the bathroom. They don't stomp, etc. The vertical sound isolation is just that bad. Get a top unit or never sleep - your choice.

I was threatened by staff for sitting outside in the sun and looking at clouds. The staff was rude and made me feel unwelcome. The residents were fine but from what I've seen and heard nothing is taken care of and many things don't work often including the water.

Older units, but fairly well maintained and have a lot of space. We have a 1 bed unit with the "study" which is like having an extra bedroom. Maintenance is pretty good about requests. We have never had any trouble with parking. As long as you follow the rules there is no problem. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars are the other people that live here. There are some that wait for the office to close then they go to the pool, play loud music, have glass bottles, and smoke. All of which are against the rules.
