From August 3 until the end of November 2018, five buildings (half the development) had nearly no hot water pressure. Not enough to take a shower, during off-peak hours... Sunday at 1PM, Wednesday at 11PM, etc. I have timestamped video. I had to call the state to have someone come out, and warn the property to fix it. The manager told the state it "was during peak hours" yet I have numerous videos showing the inability to take a shower made off-peak hours... The first apartment I had, 84C had a hot water pipe burst underneath, which management had no clue about until I told them. They made me move apartments due to mold spores developing underneath the apartment. Now I know where I had asthma issues from. The plumbing is terrible, they're shutting off the water on January 3 to do even MORE work after 3 months of trial and error. I've already rented another apartment in Springfield as there wasn't enough water pressure to take a shower here from Aug 2 - Nov 28, 2018. If you like no hot water pressure, a passive aggressive manager who lies, and staff turn-over every few months, this is the place for you. On the plus side, the location cannot be beat, and the maintenance people like Sue and her husband are great. The 1950's original gas stove that has a pilot light on 24/7 went out one night, and I had to call - they came within 30 minutes. I just wish management didn't let this place down, or actually had some actual empathy. 1/10

These apartments are an absolute dump. They constantly have to turn off the water b/c of hot water issues and water pressure issues. The floors and walls are super thin so you can hear everything around you. I have had multiple issues with mice, the apartment has an exterminator come in 2 times a month so clearly the issue is frequent and there are tons of spiders and flies, even though I keep my windows closed 100% of the time. Management doesn't answer phone calls so you have to go to the office in person in order to report a problem. I'd suggest to continue your search, Morgan Properties and General Greene Village are awful people to deal with.

Living at General Greene Village is overall a good experience. The staff is very quick to respond to any and all concerns. Any concerns will usually be immediately addressed. However, the apartments are not that spacious and not updated. If you have a dog, there is a dog park and many little things to keep your little pet happy. However, other than those amenities, there are no other amenities on the property. The property though is well taken care of and in a quiet neighborhood.

I've only been here a few months but I like the roomy apartment. Many stores and restaurants are within walking distance. Overall the location is quiet and clean.
