Lamberts Mill Village: Scotch Plains: NJ: If you want to be stalked all day by a first floor loon rent on the 2nd floor. If you want someone to follow you around your apartment morning noon and night from the first floor rent on the second floor. If you want to be surrounded by lunatics all day rent here. If you want to lose as much sleep as possible rent here.

I'm looking forward to becoming a resident at Lambert Mill Village. I've heard very good reviews working at night i need to live in a safe environment that's near my place of employment.

The renovated apartments may look nice but after living for here 6 months I've noticed reoccurring issues that make me second guess my decision to live here. If I have a work order done I don't get notified it's been fixed and it takes a few follow up calls to figure out when maintenance came into my apartment to fix it. Also, if you enjoy quiet I would NOT recommend living here. The walls are paper thin so I hear everything. Also, the construction company hired by Lamberts Mill works on Saturdays as well so you get to wake up to hammering and sawing which isn't pleasant. That means either you stay in your apartment and listen to it all day or you're forced to leave your apartment for some peace. I also have had some nasty bugs in my apartment from centipedes to bugs I've never seen before in my life. This seems to be an ongoing issue in every apartment since the exterminator is contracted to come twice a month so I'm not the only one with this issue.

Shortly after moving in, I discovered ant and centipede-like creature infestations that I had to wait two weeks for an exterminator. I had an exterminator come, and he only sprayed the perimeter of each room. Though I have had improvement with the ant situation, the centipede-like creature infestation (the exterminator could not recall their name) has had no improvement. I kill about 5 of these creatures per night (these creatures are nocturnal). I had one crawl in my bed...needless to say, I cannot sleep at night. I was really hoping the exterminator would have resolved the problem. I have been dealing with this since move in and have resorted to desperately trying home remedies like diatomaceous earth. Clearly, there is a larger problem that is not isolated to my apartment rooms. There is obviously a source of infestation that needs to be taken care of. It is unfortunate because without this infestation, I would say this is a lovely place to live and the office is great. However, this problem is absolutely frustrating and interferes with my ability to sleep peacefully in my own bed.
