I was new to the area and was seeing new apartment buildings popping up all over the place. I extensively searched and toured most of the apartment buildings -- took me about two weeks time! I finally landed and decided to rent at The Duchess for the modern feel, great service and location to the NY Ferry since I do commute quite frequently. It has truly been a great living experience so far.

I lived at the Duchess from 2019 - 2020 and am moving back again in 2021. The building is great - clean, quiet, and friendly staff between management, maintenance, leasing and concierge. I've worked with Melissa in leasing and she had everything ready to go for me in less than 5 hours. Highly recommend for a luxury rental outside of NYC and close to the ferry for commuters.

I just had a showing with Melissa Swider at the duchess apartments in north Bergen, she was so efficient with every apartment that I saw. Im definitely looking forward to moving in.

Beautiful property and def. has its perks (beautiful view, nice neighbors, amenities) but not seeing it justify the money we pay ($4K/month) Lately, theres daily construction noises coming from all over all-day-long (loud banging, drilling, and all that fun stuff). Management claims is from redoing floors on units after tenants move out but its been going on for almost 2 months now. Im not sure how many vacant apts. they have... But its Extremely frustrating for someone that works remotely, considering the office space here is an apt. They turned into an office space... not very private, so not really an option. Im still a tenant here and have a few months to go on my lease... that speaks to how frustrating and common this issue has become. I will update my review in the months to come.
