Lived here for over a year, and it is a constant battle. All of my furniture and clothing smells like smoke from the apartment below us, and the apartment itself constantly smells. The leasing office changed the filters in the vents to deal with this, but it comes through the walls and ceilings so it doesn't. They offered to let us move to an empty apartment for a $600 fee, a higher monthly rent, and an application fee, although I expressed concerns for our health with all the smoke.
Additionally, there are animals living in the walls that scratch like they are trying to break through the walls. I've submitted 3 separate requests to deal with it and it sill happens. (They have fixed other things very quickly though)
The price is way too high for the quality of apartment and there are few amenities.
The grounds need serious repair. There are no shrubs or plants. Just scrub trees and weeds everywhere. The leaves are never cleaned up from last fall. This has clogged the drains in the parking lot. There is broken glass in front of building 16. There are cracks along the walls, nails are popping through, the kitchen sink and faucet need updating. Carpet is old and nasty.
The parking situation should be more open and flexible for paying residents. Towing has gotten out of hand.
Rent rates should be consistent and not raised every year! It gets difficult to budget life's expenses. Tenants should have more liberties. Within reason, healthy and security is at the utmost importance.
When I moved into this complex, I was told that the barking of dogs would be addressed and not to worry. When I call now with constant complaints of a neighbor's dog barking, they say "there's not much we can do about that unless he/she is on the terrace barking." The rent is not cheap to live here, and the condition of the outside appearance is poor. I keep my apartment looking very nice inside, and would like to see something done outside. Paint/fixing broken stone/landscape/in other words, something to improve outside appearance please. I have also researched on-line and have read several reviews on different sites about your complex, and it appears to be some of the same complaints. If you want to attract tenants to live here, you have to do something "different" to improve the conditions.
I know there was an attempt in early spring to move apartment parking spaces around, but that seems to have never occurred. I do think that the assigned parking makes minimal sense at this time, however I do not mind as a resident. It can be confusing for guests.
