A dump! Squatters! Repairs galore! The super is creepy. Various rent prices on various sites!!! Such a shame for a historic building and area. I have lived in Montclair since 1976, so my word is good.
Prime location but that's about it. The company uses awful contractors for repairs...I moved into an apt with damaged cabinets, no shower head, scratches and paint marks everywhere. Won't even be surprised when they try to charge me for it. The super is creepy and socially inappropriate, makes racist comments and hits on female tenants regularly. I know management has received many complaints about him yet he's still here. Elevator is down often and water pipes need repair multiple times per month. Homeless people were camping out in the building for literally 6 months before management did anything substantial about it. Managers get annoyed when people go directly to them instead of the super but I don't see them hiring a quality person as a super. Washing machines in basement are tiny and sometimes you will pay for a load to find it not even cleaned or dried. The outside facade is gorgeous but management needs to change.
