The building's construction is awful! You could tell it was rushed and slapped together. The windows are not properly installed and the AC/Heating units are cheap. Received a $400 electric bill when we are rarely home and use the heat very little. Forget about the finishes around the apartment, floor comes up in certain places, bathroom vanity has paint missing and slapped together with glue, stains came on the shower floor, AC units were improperly installed and can come off rather easy from their bracket, the kitchen ceiling looks to have had a hole in it and covered up with spackle. As stated prior, the amenities (dog run, rooftop) are not finished even though the initial time-frame was September. The area is convenient for the Path, but that is all. The parking situation is a nightmare for guests and the garage at 2 Journal Square is a nightmare for residents as their parking passes often do not open the gate.
This is not an energy efficient building by any means, but quite the opposite. Will not be renewing as this is a bottomless pit for utilities and sub-par amenities.
You will regret moving here. Not pet friendly, the area lacks in " good eats", the area isn't safe, no parking for guest, and poorly constructed apartments.
After living here for a few months I can honestly say, I cannot wait until my lease is over. The area journal square is not a safe area to live in and there is lack in quality food. Unless you eat McDonald's everyday then yeah you'll love it here. The area is very poor, the only good thing about this place is the path.
The apartment is so poorly constructed, the floors are vinyl, and some spots have already started to peel, walls are thin and I can hear my neighbors! This is a new building that's filled with problems.
Roof top isn't finished and there is no time frame for when it will be. Dog run also isn't complete and there is no time frame for when it will be. Overall I would not recommend, save your pennies and look elsewhere.
The move in process was great as the management and concierge teams were very helpful in accepting packages, answering questions and welcoming me to the property. I love how new and clean the building is and appreciate the in-unit amenities and building amenities.
I chose 3 Journal Square for 3 reasons. Location, the in house gym, and the 24 hour concierge. I absolutely love the layout of my floorplan. The huge windows bring in so much light throughout the day. Ive gotten so many compliments. I also like the fact that it isnt such a large community. I would definitely recommend anyone to lease here.
Have moved in for 3 weeks. So far so good. The whole application process is easy. The leasing rep made the application and move in process clarified, saving a lot of my time. What I like most is that they always keep the place clean.
