Riverview Towers

I had an appointment to see an apartment and when I arrived from nyc the doorman calls the manager and she says they have to cancel as theres no one available to meet me?!? Who is going to reimburse me for my time, Gad and tolls? The most unprofessional management company I have ever encountered!

No one has gotten back in contact with me so I really don't know much about the apartment

THIS BUILDINGN WAS ONCE A LOVELY PLACE TO LIVE. IT WAS KEPT CLEAN. CLASS OF PEOPLE WERE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. PEOPLE MOVE IN IN OUT DAILY. INFESTED WITH ROACHES AND WHATEVER. EXTERMINATOR WOULD COME REGULARLY IF YOUR NAME WAS ON THE LIST IN THE PAST. IT SEEMS NOW THAT A TENEANT MUST CALL OFFICE FOR APPONITMENT TO HAVE EXTERMIATOR. THE INFESTATION IS NOT LIVABLE THE BUILDING IS A ROACH MOTEL. THIS BEGAN ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO WHEN NEW TENANTS MOVED IN WHO WERE NOT CLEAN. THERE IS NEVER HEAT IN THE WINTER UNLESS ONE NOTIFIES THE BOARD OF HEALTH. THERE IS ALWAYS AN EXCUSE FOR NO HEAT WHICH IS BULL. TEMPERATURE IN MY APARTMENT HAS BEEN 58 DEGREES ON COLD DAYS, NOT ACCEPTABLE. FOR THE RENT CHARGED THE AMENITIES NEED TO BE IMPROVED. DOORMEN SHOULD NOT TO DO CLEANING ETC. THERE JOB IS TO ASSIST TENANTS WHICH ID NEVER DONE. BASICALLY FOR THE RENT CHARGED ONCE CAN RENT A BETTER BUILDING. THE HALL CARPETING IS VERY OLD AND DIRTY AS IS THE WALLS. THE HALL LIGHTING LOOKS LIKE AN INSTITUTION. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MOVING INTO THIS BUILDING FOR THE REASONS MENTIONED. THERE ARE MORE REASONS WHICH I WILL NOT GO INYO AT THIS TIME. THE APARTMENTS AND ONLY THE APARTMENTS ARE VERY NICE SIZES. THE FILTH IS HORRIBLE. YOUU CAN GET BETTER LIVING QUARTERS FOR THE SAME RENT OR LESS. BE SMART, SHOP FOR A LIVING SPACE THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE AMENITIES AND CLEANLINESS DESERVED. AND SERVICE. NEW BUILDINGS GOING UP CONTINUALLY SORRY FOR THE BAD REVIEW BUT HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. The management is not nice. The building has roaches and very stingy on heat. There are 3 doormen, two are ok. The third one is never at the door and doesnt help you. I give this building 1

If there was something less than one star, I would have given them that. I have been in the US for 11 years, liven in four different states. This place is by far the worst to live in. The management are doing literally nothing but have you sign the contract. They do not tell you everything about what documents you will be signing until you are there in their office and made the decision to move in. I was driving with a long distance from another state with my family thinking that it is a matter of signing the contract to find out that I have no choice but sign a document stating that I cannot reach out to authorities against them. I realized why they needed that document signed when I lived here. Everything is extremely old, the place is overpriced, and management is the worst management I have every dealt with in my life. WHen you have a maintenance request, you can talk to the doorman, but when the maintenance is delayed the doorman may ask you to talk to the management. When you talk to the management, they tell you to talk to the doorman, and you would keep going on and on until someone finds the time to fix your problem (which could be an emergency, but they literally do not care about you!). They tell you they pay for heat, however, you will find yourself paying as the heat could either be very extreme to the extent that you may wake up with a bleeding nose or your kid wakes up with a bleeding lip. So, you either use fans to cool the rooms out, or use additional heating units when the heat malfunctions or they chose to not turn it on. SOmetimes you may want to get in the shower for a warm shower, but unfortunately you find only cold water coming out. It is a huge mess not a place to live and feel comfortable. Do not be tricked by the location (which is very nice) or the view from the balconies (which is also nice). The doormen are actually very nice too. but the view and doormen are not what you are renting an apartment for!

Dont bother this place sucks. Infested with roaches. It either too hot or too cold Management doesnt give a crap. The super tells you lies. My heat in the bathroom hasnt worked in two years Cant wait to move out. Oh I forgot the place is filthy no one cleans the halls the stairwells the parking lot is not lit. And dont pray for snow they dont shovel
