Queens Gate Luxury Apartments

This is a nice quiet location BUT the structure of the buildings is not that great. Maintenance is "OK" but they do not seem to get to the root of issues, they simply patch up the problem until it gets bigger. Nothing is properly fixed or maintained and it takes them FOREVER to get back to residents (before COVID) on fixing issues within the apartments. There was a leak in the master bathroom and since they could not find or "blame" someone as to where the water marks on the roof were coming from they simply patched up the watermarks but never got to the issue as to where the water was coming from, now I fear there are tiny silverfish insects (they gather where moisture is coming from) that are appearing in the master and guest bathroom. I am guessing it is coming from a leaked pipe that is obviously never fixed. Also the walls are thin, you can hear every step and sound from your neighbours above and beside you. Along with this, structurally the apartment are not properly insulted. Rooms where there is a door for the ventilation system I am guessing is not insulated so even though you have the heat on in the apartment, that particular room is cold thus may result in a high heating bill. Unless you have thick drapes at the window, the room will be cold as well. There are also cracks in the walls from where the contractor, at the time the buildings were built, did not properly plaster, it looks like a half as job. So some areas look like you wall is about to crack open, but its just cosmetically done poorly. Is it worth spending 2K plus to live here... No.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place has been nothing short of an absolute nightmare since the day we moved in. They sell the place as a luxury apartment community, but do not be fooled. Management is utterly useless and does nothing to help the residents. They randomly decided to charge for parking, although the spot they assign you will almost always be taken by another car. Garbage trucks come to collect the trash between 6am and 7am, so expect to have the noise of dumpsters banging wake you up every morning. The apartment, despite looking "nice" is made of cheap material which falls apart as soon as you move in. The walls are paper thin so expect to hear every movement your neighbors make and every conversation your neighbors have. The people that live in this community are extremely loud and disrespectful so the chance that you have noise issues is high. The community is disgusting, covered in debris and garbage. Speaking of garbage, residents are required to leave their garbage in the hallway to be collected, so the hallways always smell like trash. I absolutely recommend avoiding this disgusting community and not wasting a penny here.
