Unfortunately, rent price increases on anniversary each year. I'm retired and my pension cost of living may not be guaranteed each year. So, I'm looking for something more reasonable.

Great location and excellent landscaping. We love all the tall trees and greenery. Upgraded apartments are nice, as we got the last one available at the time. Each unit has its own washer and dryer which is a big plus.

However, buildings are old and we have dealt with numerous leaks. Bugs always find their way in, and it is drafty. Windows are poorly insulated, and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing.

Neighbors have been awful. They will annoy even the most tolerant people with their noise. They also will park like jerks or even block your vehicles. The management is rather lax about these issues and they havent gotten much better over time.

Parking sucks. Assigned covered spaces are tight, especially for trucks. And youre only assigned one spot.

Maintence has been generally good about fixing things, but they will unlock your door without your permission.
The landscaping guys love to come by with blowers, mowers, and weed-whackers while youre trying to sleep.

We dont use the pools or jacuzzi because they are disgusting. Not to mention, youll have to fend off hoards of unattended children. The main jacuzzi is often cloudy with slimy green bubbles, and it will make you smell so bad in spite of showering afterwards. Its nothing short of a health hazard. I dont think they ever change the filters or change the water.
The gym is small and only has 3 machines. No dumbells, barbells, or bench presses to use.

And to top it all off, utilitiy costs (water/sewer/trash) are separate from the rent base rate. They wont tell you this when you sign the lease, so youll be hit with an extra $60 added to your rent each month.

This is one of those places that is a toss-up of good and bad. Its decent enough to live comfortably if you dont care to use any of the amenities and dont get surrounded by irritating neighbors.

The apartments are old and the walls are so thin. You can hear your neighbors conversations; there's also a lot of trashy people who are arguing all the time. There are so many potholes and cracks in the parking lots. They need serious work done on the roads and parking lots. When it rains the front office area completely floods and you will have to drive around; since the parking lots are so uneven and have no drains they also flood and have huge spots where rain fills and collects. Furthermore, turning onto sparks Blvd is a nightmare most of the time with all the traffic. You can probably do better than these. The pros for this apartment is that it's by the marina and mall but you could find a better place for the same rent.
