Goodsprings, NV

Historic Goodsprings offers apartment residents a unique connection to the long and storied mining foundation on which Nevada thrived during the 19th and early 20th century.

Located down Interstate 15, south of Las Vegas, Goodsprings was founded initially to serve the needs and housing of miners looking for silver in the Nevada hills. Today, there are still a number of historic landmarks and sites of interest still standing from Goodsprings' early days, giving apartment residents easy access to relics of Nevada's Old West past. For instance, Goodsprings Cemetery was the final resting place of many of the town's early settlers, while ruins of the old Yellow Pine Railroad and several cabins can be found dotting the community's landscape.

Perhaps the most famous relic still standing in Goodsprings is the Pioneer Saloon. First built in 1913, the saloon is considered by many to be one of the last of its kind in the United States, harboring the true spirit of the old west and the incredible tales and personalities that came along with it. One renowned story attached to the saloon concerned the legendary actor Clark Gable, who was reported to have waited there for three days for an update on his wife, the actress Carole Lombard, before learning that she had passed away in a plane crash. The bar's past is replete with many other incredible stories, making it a popular destination for Goodsprings apartment renters looking for an interesting tale.

Right next door to the saloon is the Goodsprings General Store, which sells essentials such as milk and butter to apartment residents today, but in the past served hungry miners as a bustling cafe.
