I've been living here for 2 years now and I absolutely love it! The amenities and staff are wonderful!
Kensington has been the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. Really safe and CLEAN environment, extremely friendly leasing staff and maintenance caretakers, and unbeatable price! Not to mention AMAZING amenities!
I love living here. Staff is always so friendly and quick to help. Maintenance is fast and pretty awesome. I feel at home in a gated community. I think anybody would, college student or not!
I lived at Kensington Park for four years. When Melissa managed the place in 2015, everything was wonderful; however, after she left, it seemed management/staffing frequently changed which created inconsistency in the way things were handled. The last year was awful for me at Kensington as I was treated horribly and was unable to fully relax and feel "at home" in my apartment. They "lost" paperwork which resulted in fees, security focused mainly on non-resident vehicles being parked in non-visitor spaces (when it was frequently reported that creepy men were lurking around the complex nothing was done), and things were broken (gym equipment, entrance gates). Furthermore, the leasing office never seemed to be on the same page, had inconsistent communication with tenants (sometimes they would text, other times they would stick letters in doors--I never once was called about any "important" matter), and did not have the best customer service (Danielle is extremely rude). I learned that KP will nickel and dime you for whatever they can. Don't even bother getting a pet if you live there--you pay a $350 nonrefundable pet fee + $30/month for pet rent. You'd think this would go towards any repairs related to your pet when you move out. WRONG. It's a "privilege" fee and does not go towards any damages caused by your pet. There are plenty of other options in Springfield that will likely treat you better than here.
I brought my puppy over to visit my boyfriend for a few hours and got charged a $350 fee for having the unregistered puppy on their property. My boyfriend brought the puppy and his dog into the pool area when he brought me back my towel and they charged him $700 for bringing the dogs into the pool for (less than 5 min). Now we have over $1000 in fees to pay to kensington. Lady at the front desk was extrememly rude and wouldn't let me speak to anyone else about the situation. 10/10 wouldn't live here. I can't believe they're charging college kids a stupid amount for something like this, and then threaten to send us to collections if we dont come up with that thousand dollars. Im extremely upset with the staffing here. Bobby the night patrol guy is pretty cool tho, thats about it.
